Hello guys... For those of you that applied to CV L&D. ... When I met with HR yesterday, I learned that they would still be hiring for the coming months leading into summer. So stay positive !

Chula vista Acute OB has started to call people offering positions . I have yet to speak with HR so I am not sure if they are still doing interviews or not. If I find anything out I will provide an update !!

RN_22---- So I think chula vista L&D are done interviewing. I had an interview with them last Thursday and it sounded like they were only interviewing people one day only. I have a friend that applied to all of the maternal positions as well as grossmont nicu. Her app status' have changed to under hiring dept review. But no call yet for an interview. I will keep you posted on what I find out. It looked like many posituons have a june start ... So im thinking many are still reviweing candidates to invite to interview.I'm cheering for all of you !!!

Thank you all for the kind work and well wishes ! I have been trying to get an rn job for years now (since 2012). To the point that I went back to school for my MSN a year and a half ago while raising my 2 babies. I was aimlessly sending out applications left and right resulting in one rejection after another. I thought I wanted ICU until I had my babies ... And that changed everything. I knew I wanted l&d no doubt. Focusing on l&d , I was able to complete nrp and take the maternal newborn nursing course at UCSD extension. It wasn't until I completed those two things that employers started to take interest ! Also .... I knew sharp chula was the place I wanted to work and no other. I encourage everyone to find their passion and focus their energy on that alone! I believe your passion will show in your cover letter, resume , and interview ! Good luck everyone. We worked so hard to get here .... I just wish it was easier for us all to land our dream job .

Hi keekster.... I wasn't contacted by HR nor was I asked any 'screening' questions. To my surprise I was contacted by the chula vista L&D unit manager to schedule the interview !

Also sophiak .. From what I understand there are two programs . one April start and the other june . so it is quite possible that they will be calling a little later for the June start !

I applied to all three positions but I am interviewing for labor and delivery. ..... I know for a fact that the interview consist of a panel - unit manager, charge nurse,cns, staff nurses etc. I assuming at least 6 people maybe ? I will keep my fingers crossed for you ! Keep positive sophiak!!

Hi sophiak. Yes I do know that they are in the process of calling candidates for interviews. I can't say that they are done calling people. I got a call at 5 pm on Friday. And I do know the nurse manager is off on the weekends. So she may resume her calls Monday. Keep positive !!!

Sharp chula vista labor & delivery have started to call people for interviews !!!

I applied to all three CV L&D positions only. All of mine say under review by hiring department as of Monday.. The first day I applied. Uuughhh. I have been applying for a year now . I hope we can get an interview !!!! I just finished the maternal newborn nursing course and nrp. ....

So I just spoke with HR regarding sharp grossmont's new grad program for the med-surge and acute rehab track..... And she told me that interviews will probably be conducted up until January if not right before the program even starts. Most importantly, she said that applictions are still being reviewed! So don't loose hope guys...... We just might have to wait a few more weeks for an interview invite.... God willing
