Hi everyone I just wanted to let everyone know I finally got a call for a job as a full time registered nurse. It's been three months since I passed my boards and since then it's been quite hectic trying to find employment in New York as a brand new nurse. Well yesterday I got the call with the amazing news of a job opportunity. I am extremely grateful for everything and everyone who has helped me accomplish every goal I have ever had. Does anyone have some tips on how to grasp working the overnight shift as a new nurse after orientation, I am so thrilled and excited, but nervous at the same time. I just want to be the best that I can be

Yes I live in NY .. so many of my friends that I graduated have gotten jobs. its just so discouraging. Especially when getting your BSN every teacher tells you its not that difficult. Its more than difficult

I am a recent graduate who graduated this past May with a 3.5 GPA. I passed my boards on the first try in July and I've been applying to jobs since. I currently work at an MDs office but I don't work here as a nurse, my job varies. I went on one interview and I don't know how it went, it was super intense. I just want to start my career as a nurse and be the best that I can be. Does anyone know of hospital's that truly hire new nurses? I've applied to all of LiJ & CHS hospitals, as well as winthrop, south nassau, ETC!
