  1. I have been going to NMU for 4 years. I have applied for the BSN program twice before I was accepted. My GPA is 3.47, but I don't know what the lowest score was that was accepted. The criteria scoring grid that they currently use is like this: Your first score goes by overall GPA. You get 3, 6, 9, 12, or 15 points, depending on your GPA. Second score is science GPA, which scores your grades in anatomy, physiology, and chemistry. You will get between 1.25 points (C-), and 10 points (A), per class. Highest score for science GPA is 30 points. Your third score will be 5 points for already having a bachelor's degree or a master's. Or 50 master's, doesn't matter; you get 5 points for anything bachelor's or above, for a grand total of 5 points possible. Your final score is having 12 credits (one semester) completed at NMU. For this you get 10 points. You want to score as close to 60 as possible; I got in with a 44.25. I read in U.S. News that NMU has the 234th best nursing school in the U.S., which isn't bad at all considering there are almost 2,000 nursing schools in the country. I just got in, so I can't say from experience, but NMU statistically has very high rates for graduates passing the NCLEX (95%)! I also heard that the professors here don't try to "weed out" students; they really want you to succeed and do everything possible to help. Good luck:)
