Hey everyone! Has anyone received info on orientation info or badge pickups? I did my new employee health appt a couple weeks ago, but haven't heard anything since.

My last name starts with a C so maybe the person in charge just hasn't got around to your references ? Also maybe it varies depending on the department ??

Oh yea I thought we start in September, but when I got my verbal offer last week the lady told me we would be starting Aug 21. I havent received my official email offer yet, but they did call both my references . Anyone else?

Did anyone receive an August 21 start date as well?

Congrats on completing the second Interviews! Did you guys find that the questions were mainly clinical scenario is? Those are the ones that are concerning me the most ? only hiring 9 people sounds a bit daunting also. I wonder how many people were Invited back for a second Interview...

Hi y'all! Got a call about an hour ago to schedule a 2nd interview with PCU! ☺️ A friend of mine also got a call. So they are definitely making calls as well to schedule 2nd interviews. Have y'all heard anything from the ICU's besides TICU/SICU ?

That's awesome!! ?? I didn't interview with them, but I would take getting a second interview as a positive sign ?

I totally forgot to ask too! But a friend of mine asked when should we hear back from MICU/CCU & they told him mid-July ?

Thank you!! I'm sure you'll do great! The questions weren't as difficult as I thought they would be. They asked questions regarding about my background, where I worked, went to school and my ICU preceptorship experiences with some questions related to that, such as, where I did the preceptorship, a time I had a conflict with a patient, where do I see myself in 2 years...etc. they also asked what was critical care to me and how would I define it given the patient population and the 2:1 or 1:1 ratios that are Involved with working in an ICU setting.

Just completed my interviews with PCU, MICU & CCU. I was the first group (8am start). PCU made it pretty easygoing and not as stressful as a straight panel interview with various managers. Goodluck to everyone on their Interviews today!

Goodluck to you & everyone too! I've been practicing interview questions all day. Still pretty nervous tho. ? But there is only so much you can prepare.

I am considered a new grad as I haven't worked as an RN, although I graduated on December 2021. Before and during nursing school I worked as a CNA/Activity assistant in a SNF (6 years) & as a COVID screener at Kaiser (1 year).

Yea I only applied to the ICU's, but somehow got an email for PCU. I'm happy with whatever at this point, but my passion is definitely ICU since that's where I did my preceptorship ? It's definitely rough getting into a hospital in the Bay Area LOL

OMG thank you for this!! Such a great way to see what to expect, but I'm with you on the clinical scenarios & being scared LOL I think if we emphasize safety and communication to them then that already is a positive thing because as a New grad we aren't expected to know 100 things, but we are expected to know how to be a safe practicing nurse and communicate issues arising before them becoming worse. I'm definitely going to brush up on clinical scenarios and basics before Interview ?
