This is great! I am going to start an ABSN program in May and this will be helpful to refer back to. It is great to watch these ahead of time so I know a little bit of what to expect. Thank you!!!!

Don't get too discouraged. Your degree was probably more intense then some out there. I think you could do a ABSN for sure. Though you need to make sure you don't have to work and you can give it 100%. Before you do any retakes email or meet with schools you are interested in; some don't like to see retakes! I was accepted to Villanova's BSNExpress program. It is 14 months long and I start this coming May. They also have an alternative ABSN that is a little longer because you have the summer off. Take a look at them! They have a more holistic approach for their interview and selection process. Also, the alternative option (with summer off) accepts GPAs that are a little lower. Very structured program and great school. I hope you don't get discouraged about your GPA or an ABSN program. You can definitely do it if you are solely dedicated to it!

Congratulations!!! I am entering an accelerated program too this coming May that is 14 months long. Recently, I read a book called "How to Succeed in Nursing School". It is a light read and I couldn't put it down. It has some AMAZING study tips that I think will help. I am a hands on learner too, so my first portion makes me a little nervous too. My status was updated in about 3 weeks and after it took me almost a week to get my letter. I live out of state, so if you are local it should only take a few days! Best of luck!

JoeJoe3 congrats! I'm not going to lie you have made me a bit nervous about this now. When you say you had an exam below 70%, do you mean a final exam? Are there multiple exams during that specific class and you have to have 70+ on all? Could you be a little more specific? Thanks!

Hey everyone, I got my letter today and I AM IN!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhh so exciting! I am also nervous since I will be moving there!

Well, I'm in Michigan, so I will expect it to take a few more days. At least I know it's on the way. (It's still driving me crazy though!) lol

gerrly, nothing yet! I am off of work the next few days so I will more than likely be staring out my front window waiting for the postman! LOL. ashlee0921 thanks for mentioning that one! I saw that one a long time ago and forgot which school it was! I like because you can do a self-paced one or regular online.

RNL0VE do they offer it online? Here in Michigan you have to be in a Nursing program in order to take it. I am still trying to find one here.

Yeah, I will have to first, find out if I got in lol and second, see if I can find it anywhere else cheaper. If not, I will prob do that. I know D.E. said in my interview that they have a list; since Villanova only has about 20 spots for the online version for us. I hope I find out soon! Tomorrow is the 4 week mark since I interviewed. I wish I had a reason to email them lol

lisa15307, when I went for my interview I did a separate campus tour. It was definitely geared toward being a college Freshman, but I loved being able to see the whole school and hear information about it. They didn't take us to Driscoll Hall, but when I went to the interview my interviewer let me walk down and see the SIM labs. It has been 3 weeks since my interview as of yesterday, so I hope I hear something soon! Sweetem, KAB123 and RNL0VE, thank you for all the detailed information you posted! I wish I would have been able to make the trip again, but considering my busy work schedule I wouldn't have been able to travel there. On a side note: For those who have been accepted, once you are, how long after do they require your deposit to be paid? Thanks!

For those of you who attend the open house can you post any amazing facts you learn? I live in Michigan and won't be able to attend it. I took a campus tour during my interview, but would love to know if there is anything special that you learn that pertains to the Nursing School. During the campus tour they don't actually take you to the nursing building. I am hoping to hear something soon!
