Good ideas..thanks so much! I know the owner did try to do an incentive once before, she offered a check card. Everyone was asked to have their notes in by a certain time and their names would be in a drawing. The drawing consisted of ONE name!! That was before I came on board. I am ready to rock and roll....these people have got to go. They have been given chance after chance with no consequences, they are like naughty 4 year old who know all mom does is yell with no action behind it. I just could not imagine going into the office of the director at my previous job and treat her the way our staff gets treated. Just trashy people with trashy ways of life. Five weeks ago I started a job as the Director of Nursing Care for a non medical home care company. I am appalled at the disrespect demonstrated to the owners and admininstrative staff by the caregivers in the field. They think NOTHING of calling the scheduler and cursing her up one side and down the other. They bad mouth the agency/office staff and owners to clients and families. They lie, smoke near clients, violate dress code, call out, dont call dont show violate Hippa, etc on a daily basis. I am beyond dumbfounded. My boss, the owner, is so beaten down right now and so disillusioned by it all she cannot move out of the fog she is living in. With my fresh eyes and fresh opinion am thinking I can turn this ship around but don't know where to start! HELP?! If we start to terminate the violators there will not be enough staff to fill open slots on the schedule. We just do not know where to go to hire quality caregivers who desire to light of the lives of our clients! The pay is not good but we are strapped to what the VA and OOA will pay us, they do make overtime if they are good and are reliable. They actually scare me..some seem to verge on the edge of sanity at times, I would not want to meet them in a dark parking lot!

I just had a phone interview with them this past Friday, I waited to turn in my docs until after the interview and they pushed so hard to get them so Wed am (Yesterday ) I scanned and emailed all my personal and bank information, within 1 hour I got a call stating I took to long to get them the information and the hiring process was stopped. The VP I was dealing with, Maro something..was not pleasant, I had some concerns about her from an email setting up my interview. My husband then became fearful that I was scammed as I found the ad on Craigslist...so I called security at our bank who recommended I start a new acct and move our money to the new acct. I was so mad..I emailed Maro and the guy I was dealing with and explained what this caused me and I did not know I was on a time schedule. Here was her reply to me...I am so thankful God closed this door, I dodged a bullet here! "Relax. There’s no security issue here, I’m a former CCO for goodness sake. I didn’t appreciate the disparaging comments you offered my staff about me personally, either, so you and your husband should be mindful of business etiquette going forward. If you were a “good potential employee” none of this would be necessary. You knew your online docs needed to be completed within a week and you failed to do so. End of story. Your file has been shredded, you’ve never been an “official employee,” just a candidate who didn’t meet our standards. " As far as disparaging comments I did call the headquarters as did the bank to question if these people were employed by this company. No one ever said the docs were needed with in a week, I was not about to send anything until after my interview..actually they did have my NL, cpr card and tb test results but I was not sending them bank routing and acct numbers til after the interview. She scheduled my interview 10 days out then wanted my docs 'within a week'...she had them in 2.5 working days. I would steer clear of this company... A

I am very interested in a change of career paths. I read on this site something about CareScout which seems to do the same thing as Senior Bridge/humana? The CareScout web site has no career or employment link on it. Does anyone know anything about this company? Where are they based and do they service PA?

Besides Focus Care (not impressed with them) is there another vendor who handles case/care management for Humana? I live in South central PA and the closest Senior Bridge office is 5 hours away. Is Focus Care the only one who works this area or are there others? Are there other insurance companies who offer the same type of program to clients? It seems right up my alley...after 22 years doing skilled visits I am looking to rachet down a few notches! Thanks!

I just almost completed the application process with Focus Care. The entire time I was leary, something in the back of my mind nagging...Craigslist..seriously? Today I sent them all my information, SS, DL, nsg info, banking info for direct deposit. About an hour after they recieved it I got a call from the guy I had been dealing with (never had phone contact with the woman to be my direct manager except for an email, and she had a slightly off tone, not sure how to take it) ...anyway, they halted and discontinued the hiring process as I did 'not have the information to them in the agreed upon time frame'. I was not really aware that this was urgent and I told him when I would try to get it too him. My husband went off...he said now they have ALL my personal and banking information and how do we know it was not a scam. I immed called they bank security dept and they flagged my account and told me to come right in to cancel my acct and open a new one. She was very concerned as scams can be very elaborate. I don't think this was a scam, but I was disgusted anyway. I have been a home health RN for 22 years with the same agency...I thought this job sounded too good to be true, I am looking to slow down and bit and lighten the load. Any thoughts on who the other Humana vendors are? I live in PA
