  1. At our facility we rarely locked patients out of their room, but it was occasionally necessary at the request of the Dr, the treatment team or even the patient. We would only do it with a doctors order for therapeutic reasons.
  2. I work in an acute care stabilization unit, and if this was done there, they would need to install speed bumps at the front entrance to slow down all the staff galloping out the door! Of course then the administrators would then have to endure the consequences of this asinine decision because they would have to "wait" on their "guests"!!!!!!!!!!!!
