Rutgers ABSN FALL 2016
I'm a current student at Rutgers and finished my application a few weeks ago for the New Brunswick campus. Interesting to know that the program is actually 16 months long. I would love to stay at Rutgers, my only issue is that I have already been accepted to another school and would have to move out of state for it. My other school has already sent out information on clinicals and background checks and it is stressing me out that we won't hear back from Rutgers until the end of June/early July. Does anyone have any similar issues like mine as far as already hearing back from other schools?

ABSN UMASS Amherst 2016-2017 cycle
Hey everyone! I applied to Umass back in October and just had my interview a few days ago! They told me I should hear a decision from them in about 4-6 weeks. I didn't know a whole lot about Umass when I started the application process but as I had time to research the school and the program I really started to like it more and now it's one of my top choices. I can't wait to hear from them again!

George Washington ABSN Fall 2016
Congrats! I felt the same way as you, the $500 was a lot to give up but I really had no other choice. I've also applied to UMass Amherst, Massachusetts General Hospital, Marymount, and Rutgers (which is where I go now, and also doesn't send out decisions until the end of June so I'm really in a tough spot if I get in there and choose to go). It's stressful but really great to know we've gotten in to such a great program and have that option.

George Washington ABSN Fall 2016
Thank you! Have you heard any news yet? I still haven't heard back from any of the other schools yet that I've applied to yet so I'm still very unsure of where I am going to end up. Where else have you applied?

George Washington ABSN Fall 2016
Hi all, I was looking around for a thread on George Washington University's accelerated BSN for Fall 2016 entry and I couldn't find one, so I thought I'd start this. I was accepted to the program a few weeks ago and put my deposit, and I wanted to find out if anyone else has heard back yet! I am pretty sure I will end up going to GW, but I haven't heard back from any other schools yet so I wanted to see if anyone else is in the same boat? I actually visited the campus a few days ago and the area is very nice. I'd love to hear from anyone going to or interested in GW! (Also if anyone knows about any good places to live in the Ashburn area, any tips are great as I'm from New Jersey and will need to be making the move for this one if I end up going).

Rutgers School to School transfer vs Accelerated BSN track
Hi all, I'm currently a junior at Rutgers University-New Brunswick. I'm an Exercise Science major who was interested in OT, but since declaring I've realized I want to go into nursing. I've been planning on pursuing an accelerated BSN program (Rutgers or somewhere else) right after I graduate in May 2016, but I've recently been thinking about doing a school to school transfer into the Rutgers nursing school, if I could get in. I have done well in most of the science courses I have taken thus far, and I am fairly confident that I could get in as a school to school transfer with my credentials. I was wondering if anyone else is/was in a similar situation? The only things holding me back from a school to school transfer is losing my scholarship and the thought of losing my exercise science degree (I already did a school to school transfer once from the business school). I was wondering if anyone had opinions on which option might make more financial and time-wise sense? If anyone out there has done a school to school transfer as late in the game as I am thinking about, how long did it take for you to finish your courses and clinicals? And does anyone have any useful contacts in the nursing school that I could talk to about these issues? Thanks!

Accelerated BSN/NCP or ANCP hopeful
Thank you all for the info! I know I've got a long way to go and things might not work out exactly the way I hope, but I'm hopeful someday it'll happen. Does anyone have any numbers on how many nurses the army, navy, or air force has taken in through direct commissioning in the recent years or anywhere I could find that info? Thanks again!

Accelerated BSN/NCP or ANCP hopeful
Hello all! I'm currently in my junior year of undergrad working towards an Exercise Science degree. I've decided to go for an accelerated BSN program after I graduate. I've always had a dream of working in military healthcare and I got shadowing experience in at Walter Reed this past summer and I loved it. I've done a lot of research into both the Navy's and Army's nurse candidate programs (if I had my pick I'd love to go Navy), and I was wondering if anyone here has gone through an accelerated program and the NCP or ANCP and had any comments on it or pointers? When should I start talking to a recruiter? I know I'll have to wait until next year once I (hopefully!) get an acceptance letter from a BSN program to start my application, but is it ever really too early to start talking to a recruiter? I'll be applying to schools in the fall of my senior year. Also I'm from New Jersey, does anyone have any good contacts in the tri-state area they could pass along? Thanks!!
