  1. HELP!! This is my first nursing job on a med/surg floor. I have a meeting with my manager because other nurses are saying I don't know my patients and suspect I'm not doing my assessments. The real problem is that I have been put down so many times during report that I now get ridiculous anxiety and my mind goes blank. I really feel like my only option is to find a new job because now I'm on the radar. I work night shift , and the info needed for night shift is completely diff than what days needs to know. Plus they ask tons of questions about things that should be easy to see during assessment (should be easy to answer but my mind goes blank from nerves)
  2. Hey all! I took my NCLEX-RN for the first time today and got 75 questions. Most of the people I know that have taken it and passed received results in a few hours. I took mine 7 hours ago and was finished in under an hour. I was feeling confident because many of my practice tests indicated that I had a high percent chance of passing. But the longer the results take, the more I'm doubting that I passed. Also, I have a temporary license that is still valid. Has anyone had their temp license and failed? I am wondering what happens and if this could be a possible indicator of passing or failing. Any help is appreciated!!!
  3. how did you find out? did you pay for quick results? did you just check the BON site? Several of my friends that have taken it said they got an email later that day or the next day with their license attached. is this true???
  4. Thanks everyone!!! I got the green light (92% probability of passing NCLEX on the first try). My test is scheduled in a couple of weeks, so I am continuing to do assessments with my VATI coach and doing Saunder's questions. I'm staying hopeful!
  5. Thanks!!! I have read so many horror stories about people doing well on their first comp predictor and then doing really bad when taking it for the green light, so it's good to hear someone that improved!!!!
  6. Hello all!!! Looking for some guidance. I am currently working on Virtual ATI. A little background: I did excellent in Nursing school! Took two comp predictors through school and got a 98% chance of passing NCLEX on the first try. SPED through the VATI modules and passed all of them with flying colors. Took a practice comp predictor and got a raw score of 74% (equals to a 96% chance of passing NCLEX). I am currently doing other practice questions before doing the virtual ATI comp predictor to get my green light. I also took an NLN NCLEX predictor and got 96th percentile of those who took the exam and went on to pass the NCLEX. OK. So the problem. I start my new job in 5 days and have a temp license, so I don't need to pass boards before starting. BUT I scheduled the NCLEX on sept 25th and really don't want to change it. My reasoning is that I feel my chances go down the longer I have been out of school. I figure this way I could remediate once if I need to, but if I don't get the green light, I want to still sit for boards. If I fail the NCLEX, I'll lose my job. What do you think? Also, any personal stories would really be helpful!!!
  7. I too am doing VATI... I graduated August 15th and am due to take my Virtual ATI Comp predictor this weekend... I have my NCLEX scheduled for Sept 25 (3 weeks away!!!) and really DO NOT want to change it. I received a 98% pass rate on first try for both ATI tests we took in school and this post is scaring me lol. If I take it now, I will have the chance to remediate once and I'm hoping I'll get the green light. I start my new job on sept 8th and have a temporary license, so I'm okay for now. If I take the NCLEX and fail, I will lose my job I just feel like the longer I wait after graduation, the worse my passing chances are... Any other VATI "no green light, but still passed NCLEX" success stories???
