Hi all, I would like to share my experience after taking the Nclex on Jan 6, 2016. This is not my first time taking the test, so I had tried the Pearson Vue trick many times. My test was on Jan 6, 2016 at 8 am in Pennsylvania. I finished the test with 265 questions after 5 hours and a half. Had about 40 SATA, 35 (see who FIRST) and a bunch of priority/contact precautions questions. Most of the questions was really hard, even after I eliminated the other choices, I wasn't satisfied with the final answer, but I chose it since it was the best answer. I noticed that they asked me the same questions, but just changed the wording around, so I chose a different answers assuming that I got the first one wrong. Anyway, I finished the test around 1:40 pm, and tried the Pearson trick at around 4:00 pm, and yes, I input my valid credit card, but with the wrong expiration date, so even if I failed, they will not be able to charge me. Instead, to my surprise, I got the RED triangle, saying that I "Our records indicates that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time." I was so happy and excited, knowing that this is a good pop-up because based on my past failures with the nclex they took my $200 or tell me the card is invalid if I failed. In the past, the PA board of nursing usually post your license the next morning. So, I waited till the next day (Thursday) and check my license. I checked at 8am, 8:15am, 9 am, you get the point till 1:00 pm, and felt despair...maybe the computer made a mistake and I didn't passed. I proceed to registered for my Nclex again, and I still get the good pop-up, but my license still hasn't been posted on BON. For the next 48 hours before I can check for my quick results, I constantly check the BON for my license, but nothing. I became depressed and believed that I didn't passed. Finally on Friday, at 10 am, my quick results is available, before I decided to pay for it, I checked one more time on BON for my license...nothing. I input my credit information, and took a deep breath, hit submit, and close my eyes for a few seconds, before I looked at the screen. To my relief, the unofficial results said, "PASS." I almost died out of joy and relief. Called my husband about the news and even took a picture of the results and texted to him. I later called the PA BON of nursing of the situation and asked how long does it takes the BON to post my license as I needed it to take my classes to finish my BSN degree. The operator told me they have up to 30 days to post the license number. I then told if she can check my file by giving her my SSN making sure nothing is missing (transcripts, 30 hours child abuse class, etc), and my file was cleaned. I will just have to wait. She didn't tell me I passed or fail. To wrap this up, the Pearson VUe trick does WORK, I can attest to this. I took this test many times, and when I failed, they took my money or told me the card is invalid. This time, I got the good pop-up and I PASSED. Good luck to all future test takers.
