  1. NRenwick... Congrats on getting an interview. May i ask what you had as far as grades?
  2. Db131... They are looking at english 12, biology 12, chem 11 and math 11. For what I have read you need at least 2 A's and 2 B's to be competitive. Volunteer hours to be competitive around 120 but it all depends on the applicant pool. Hope this helps. I too am a post secondary student but I have to upgrade bio 12 and chem 11
  3. Thats the thing, I have not received anything yet
  4. should I be worried if my statues still says " ready for review" still??
  5. does anyone know when we should be expecting invites??
  6. Good to hear wdanae. I am re- doing patho right now at Douglas College ( i got 61% where at DC u need 65%). It is a hard course with alot of information given to you at once. I have done both anatomy classes too (B- & C) i am hoping my post secondary marks are more than enough to get in.
  7. Oh right on Brianne17. How are you finding the class right now?? And is this HSC 111?? All my fingers and toes are crossed that I get an interview , i am not too sure how my grades will pan out.
  8. breanne17..can you please clarify what you mean that you got in?? for an interview?? and good luck with you anatomy class, I did mine at Douglas and yes it is pretty intense
  9. I havent heard anything...... This waiting is driving me crazy
  10. Brianne17, from what i have read from other threads they usually have the info sessions mid- sept. I am still waiting to see when my statues changes to complete
  11. Brianne17 you can try Douglas College, BCIT, Kwantlen. I know DC has changed their intake process to a 1+ 3 year ( I am currently in their program). However, I am having trouble with the Pathology , and Microbiology classes.
  12. awesome Brianne17..... How was the interview part???
  13. Holy cow I can not believe that I forgot to submit my licence....well thank goodness it is now done :) now we wait..fingers crossed we get an interview
  14. I have..... Wait I think i need to submit my drivers licence!!! Oh no
  15. mine still says " ready for review"
  16. I have applied for Jan also. I am with you ipascu, i do not have the high school grades ( B's and C+'s as well) but I have done first year english, both Antaomy & physiology classes , stats and my electives. I was at Douglas but they have changed their program reuirements to a 1+3 year. You do ur electives first then 3 years of straight nursing classes. I am having trouble with patho ( i got a C and you need a C + ) so i am hoping that my grades from douglas will be enough to get in. I have 125 volunteer hours. I am hoping tht is enough.
  17. Me too applying first time. I have read other threads and I believe the interview part is not too bad. I am worried that I will not make to that part
  18. Good luck to you too breanna17. Also good luck A&P.. I have done both and they are tough. But def worth gettin it out of the way before the program. If you can get english outta the way too it will be a bonus. If you do not mind.. May I ask why you did not get in the first time??
  19. Yaaa hope4321, some else trying to get in :) well I hope for the best for both of us :) how are u feeling about getting in. I am not too sure
  20. Thanks neverland. Its nice to have other students back you up :) i am feeling that I will not get in this intake due to my grades.. But fingers crossed that they see I have done all the electives ahead of time. I have english 105 with a B-, HSC ( A&P courses) with a B- and C ( lowest grade so fat). I will prob just up grade all my high school classes in Sept. Good luck in Sept. Its a heavy demand with lots of reading. I was in the nursing program at Douglas last Sept, but due to A&P I did not pass so I was dropped from the program. I was doing 5 nursing classes along with Biology and English. But I am trying again to get in and get it done :)
  21. Ahhh I dont have the highest grades... I think i might have to redo redo english and Bio as I only have a C in them this is really stressin me out.
  22. Sorry i mean Bio and chem. I spoke with an advisor in Abby, and because I have been out of school for so long, my university marks will take the place for my high school marks.
  23. Thanks, yes my A&P are transferable. Im alittle worried that i don't have the best grades through( my first A&P I got a B- and my second A&P I got a C). They do take place of my math 11 and Chem 11 marks, but I've read a couple of threads and starting to feel a bit worried.
  24. Thanks for ur suggestion. Congrats on getting in. Wondering what kind of grades did u have to get in?
  25. Thanks. But I did my first bio last summer and I just completed the second part this past semester ( these are first year A&P courses).
