Getting ready to take the NCLEX for the 6th time
Hi Erin1984; This is something that I have wanted for a long time. I started back in 1986, a year after graduating high school and things happened that put it on the back burning. then after being a bartender for 26 years I knew it was time to follow my heart. I am now a 47 year old wife that needs this and wants this. I have worked hard for it, and will get it no matter how many times I have to do the NCLEX. Thanks for the support

Getting ready to take the NCLEX for the 6th time
So, after failing the NCLEX 5 times, I am now getting ready to take it for the 6th time. I have been studying the content and been really focusing in test taking. I refuse to give up and will not let this test get the best of me. I have way too much time invested in this. I have been getting a lot of help from the Nurses that I work with, and my D.O.N. has been so supportive. I am feeling good about this because when I got my results from the last test i was near passing on everything and had taken all 265 questions. I plan to take my time with the NCLEX and make sure I read the questions and answers. I'll keep you all posted on how it goes. My date is August 25th so I have time to get ready. If anybody has any test taking tips for me, it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure how I am answering the questions. This last test was a lot of SATA and those have always given me problems.

Thank you all for the kind words and the suggestion. I will give Hurst a try.

5th time testing/5th time failing
No I haven't tried Hurst, can you tell me anything about it?

5th time testing/5th time failing
Thanks. I agree that Kaplan is repetitive, as is ATI. I also feel that the school I went to let me down. They did nothing to teach us test taking skills.

5th time testing/5th time failing
I took my NCLEX for the 5th time yesterday. I went in feeling good and left feeling terrible. I took all 265 questions and when I left, I felt as if I was going to vomit. I tried the pvt and did not get the "good" pop up. So now I wait for my official results to see what I need to focus on. I am getting so frustrated because I know the material, and I just can't seem to pass this test. Does anyone out there have any suggestions for me? I have done Kaplan and ATI. Got the green light on both yet I can't pass the NCLEX. I feel like such a failure.

So, I just took the nclex-rn for the 5th time and I did the pearson trick, did not get the good pop-up and I am just crushed. Does anyone have any advise for me. I am so bummed and I have been working so hard. Have used Kaplan, and ATI. What else is out there to help me get through this?
