How are the instructors at the interamericana university, are they supportive of the students? what is the clinical and lab class like? How about the housing and food expense like? Anyone? Please enlighten me if you have information. I will appreciate it. Thank you!

Well, Yes I decided to go to LVN school many years ago too. Only to find my self in this situation now, where there is no hope being n LVN. I am talking about what is happening today in 2014, or What I am going through now... Had I been an LVN many years ago and sought a chance or a light, i would have too....I am worrying about the people I encouraged to go to LVN school, because the truth is at the present time the future for LVNs is not good. Your situation can be exception. What I am talking about is from to day to the future. People don't have to wait till they get where me and my friends are, or till it catches, or spreads to other states. What is changing is not California. It is the trend in health care. But it is nice to hear or see about successful LVNs

Hello LVN's Students, Do not waste your time and money by going to LVN schools, because there are no LVN jobs . Hospitals, Assisted living, SNF are not hiring. even if you are hired now a days facilities don't pay what they used to pay, or what you deserve. Even if you are an excellent LVN like myself and my friends were...not just saying this... me and 3 other LVN who helped a company we worked for 7 Years to grow and become famous, well respected company around our community and near by neighboring communities informed us the other day that they are letting us go. We did not see this coming with out warning. they just told us that they are hiring RNs and don't have place for LVNs anymore. No Compensation, or farewell party like we did for the other nurses and LVNs before us. Just our remaining check and a letter that indicated the end of our service.... COLD! to my understanding I was loved by my coworkers, and supervisors...what happened now? why did they give us the training a month a go??? why are they telling us now they don't have a place for us now?? we all have kids, and other responsibilities, and we don't know what to do? HUMMMMMMmmmmmm! I am an LVN, That is why, that is what the letter stated... knowing what i know now i would have gone to RN program and avoided all the stress i went through the mean nursing instructors, not waste my money and almost 1 1/2 years of my time. I think the mentality then was RNs and LVNs almost get similar payment why go to RN school. But now even the 2 year RNs are not getting a job so why go to LVN school instead of RN or BSN You are paying almost the same amount of time and money any ways
