FNP Exam August 24, 2014
Hello, My weekest area is planning. No problems with assessment or diagnosis. I have been non-clinical for a long time. I recently took a job in a Primary Care Clinic, which I think will help me a great deal. Leiks study book is very good as well. I do see where I could have made some very careless mistakes. I am not going to give up! I can do this! Thanks for your input!

I really want to stic with the same test. All of my friends that took the ANCC said it is much more difficult. I am only three points shy of passing the FNP. I really think I am over thinking the test. I am preparing for the test again. I will attempt the test the the end of February and I will keep you posted. Thanks for your advice!

Passing the AANP certification exam
Hello Chief, I have reviewed over a thousand questions. How about sending me an email to [email protected]. Would like to study with you it may help the both of us. I though the test was difficult to some degree. When you send me an email, perhaps we can exchange numbers. My study buddy passed. He helps me a great deal and I am sure that I will pass this time. I am aware of the mistakes I made. Hope that I reach you before your test. I am sure you will do well! SV1962

FNP Exam August 24, 2014
Hello All, I have taken the FNP exam twice this year and I am only missing the exam by a few points. I have taken Fitzgerald Review Course, I have purchased the Fitzgerald Review CD's and thw work book. I also have the CD with over 500 questions and have answered all of them. I have studied the Leiks book and I have completed the Exam on the AANP website. I graduated top of my class and at this point I am at a total lost. Any tips from those who have passed? My personal email is [email protected]. If you send me an email, I will definitely respond. I can not take the test again until January. I really would like to study with someone who has passed. I am not very interested in changing courses to study for the ANCC. I was told that it is a much harder test. Thank SV1962

Passing the AANP certification exam
Hello, I going back to try it again. I too agree that the test was quite difficult. I am finding that the LEIKS book seems to give you the best information as it relates to key things to look for when taking this test! Congratulations on passing the test! I will be able to say I passed very soon! I was very nervous when I realized there was still much material that I did not know> SV

Passing the AANP certification exam
Hello Anna, Congrats! I did not pass. I will be taking my test again in about 30 days. After thinking about many of the questions after the test was over. I immediately discovered where I messed up. I took the Fitzgerald review, studies from APEA and the Winland and Brown book. I am reviewing LEIKS now and it seems to be geared more towards what the test was like. SV

Recent post grad from UMB
I recently took the AANP on July 1, 2014. I too did not pass. I really though the test was very difficult. I spent numerous hours, days, and nights preparing. I too am very disappointed. I took the Fitzgerald review course, studied from both the Winland-Brown and APEA Review Questions and Strategies Book. In my opinion, the test questions are not straight forward like those in either of Questions and Strategies Book. The test questions are more complex and require you to think and apply knowledge. Be very careful to make sure you understand what the questions are really asking. Look for key words. I realize many of the mistakes I made after I though about it. I have not yet received my scores, but I know many of my weaknesses. I found the medications, required labs, and some of the medication questions to be confusing. I am now studying from LEIKS and have already gotten a better understanding on how to take the test and what to look for. I am going back in about 30 days to retest and I am considering it already done! For all of those who did not pass including me let's keep out heads up and not quit. You have not failed unless you quit! I wonder will we see some of the same questions second time around? SV
