  1. 1:11 here for third shift, we get lowest staffing but still take admissions/ deal with 15 minute rounds on all patients/ medically unstable Pts/ substance withdrawal/ geriatric sundowners/ people who can't sleep/ psychotic Pts. You feel like superwoman after a while doing it all don't know if I could do kids though so kudos to you!
  2. Hi everyone, I've been a nurse for around 4 months now on a psychiatric inpatient unit at a hospital. It's an adult and geriatric floor. I'm looking for some ideas or insight into how to make the holidays meaningful and fun for our patients who have to spend them in the hospital with us, as I realize how hard the holidays can be for some of the psychiatric patients. Thanks :)
  3. Thanks everyone for the advice :) I will check my state board of nursing licensure list in a few days!
  4. Hi everyone! I took my nclex earlier today, was very nervous the whole time because I am a quick test taker and felt like the test was really hard. When the computer shut off at 75 questions I thought my heart was going to explode out of my chest! I was upset and worried and then I came home and realized that 75 is a good sign and mustered up the courage to do the Pearson Vue trick. I got the good pop up! I want to know if paying for the quick results if worth it (I live in Illinois) and how you go about getting your nursing license once you find out you passed and how long it takes.
