  1. Hi all- Hoping for some guidance after unsuccessfully taking the ANCC psychiatric nurse practitioner exam this week. I needed a 350 to pass and unfortunately earned a 345 and fell short. Needless to say I am very discouraged and feeling down on myself especially because I have a job waiting for me. I studied from the ANCC manual and felt the questions were very heavily weighted on case management and human resource type questions such as solving disputes as a nurse manager. I was prepared for an exam much more weighted on meds and intervention. Hence, I scored high in individual competencies and low in foundations of advanced practiced nursing. I Was wondering if anyone had passed this exam and had advice on how to better study for the topics that are less objective and more based on subjective reasoning. I am planning to retest in end of August but I am very nervous about failing again and don't know how to study "foundations" any help is greatly appreciated!
