Hello everyone, I will start for ADN as a full-time student this Fall. I was a little surprised when I was accepted through an email by a community school which rejected me a month ago. I have no idea about the nursing program. Here is my background: I had B.A. and M.S.A. degrees with GPA 3.2/4 and my previous majors were political science. Moreover, I had the courses of high-school level chemistry, physiology and biology, and the college- level maths and English. So I did not take any PN courses when I applied for ADN. I don't know how to prepare for the first semester courses: Anatomy and Physiology I; and the Fundamental of Nursing. Do I need to review some materials, references and books first before starting in this Fall? Is it necessary to buy a medical dictionary or anything else like that? Another thing is that English is not my native language, although I had a Master's degree in U.S.A. and can speak, read and write English well. However, I am really nervous about English medical words. Any help and suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
