  1. Hi there! Best of luck to you. I graduated from the program in august 2022. You can shoot any questions my way. You can message me if you like. Clinical placement is determined by the school but if you have someone who is willing to precept they will usually let you after you give them the info of the preceptor. After Covid, schools have been having issues finding clinical sites s for all students. More so for pediatrics and women's health. Hours depend on what you work out with your preceptor and the requirements for the program that semester. It depends on whether you are doing full time program and part time. At the end of the program what really matters is that you have met the minimum I think 500 hours For the hours, some preceptors will allow you to come multiple times a week, all day. While I've heard of others that only allow 4 hours or so a day which would require multiple sites or multiple days in the week to meet the semester requirements. But this is usually somewhat flexible
  2. Yay! Congrats :) im not from out of state and I went to UM for undergrad so if you have any questions let me know. I think we should make a facebook group or some thing for our cohort!! what do you think??
  3. I have no idea -.- any updates? I got an email today saying it’s being reviewed by admission committee that I should hear back in 2-4 weeks.
  4. Yes!! I noticed that also. They told me 2-4 weeks. That it goes to the committee now where they make the decision But it’s rolling so I think that they will still let us know even before the deadline
  5. Thanks! I think it went okay. About 10 minutes I only got asked one clinical question thank goodness. Hopefully we find out soon and will all be classmates! ?
  6. Hiiii! I just had my interview yesterday. Good luck everyone!
  7. @lilymm Ah I hope so! Thanks so much for the advice!! I definitely have to do well on my essay. I'm going to the information session at UM and going to see if I should do anything else. I don't want to end this process thinking could have done more. Thanks again!! ?
  8. @vixxc hey thanks! I have been trying to see if I have a fair chance at getting accepted. I realllly want to go :/ if I get all As next semester I will finish with a cumulative gpa of 3.61.. I can also get letters of recommendations by doctors and nurses I work with and I work in an oncology hematology office. But I'm not sure if that's good enough/: what do you think?? I feel like there is such a range of students that get accepted that I really don't know ? I signed up for an information session at UM next semester hopefully they answer some of the MANY questions I have lol. Do you recommend that I should be doing something more to help my chances? I have to wait until march anyways so I have some time to get stuff done! Lol. Thanks so much for your help!! I greatly appreciate it ?
  9. @lilymm thanks I really appreciate the advise!! ah I HOPE I get in :/ I'm so jealous I don't get to start now! Lol Do you honestly think I have a chance though? I'm nervous because If I finish this semester and next semester with all As I will only have a 3.61 gpa and I don't know if that's enough -.- I can also get letters of recommendations from nurses I work with and doctors I know. I also work in an Oncology Hematology private practice office but i don't know if that will be enough.. What do you think? ?
  10. Hey! I was wondering did you ever get into UM? I am trying to figure out what the average student that gets accepted looks like. I have a 3.5 gpa and i dont know if that will be enough or not -_-
  11. Hey!! New on this thread vixxc sorry to hear about UF but that's great that you got accepted to UM!! I want to apply for fall 2015 to UM because unfortunately I have 2 pre requisites to take this fall so now I have to wait:/ But can I ask what your gpa is? And did you do anything that made you stand out as an applicant to UM? For example letters of recs or volunteer?? Thank you!!
  12. Hey guys congrats loveisall and lilymm on getting accepted! Unfortunately , I have to take micro, lab, bio, and lab in the fall so I couldn't apply for this fall 2014 but I plan on applying for fall 2015. I was wondering if I can ask you guys what your gpa was when accepted and if you did any volunteer work or anything special to make you stand out as applicants?? Thanks and congrats again!!!
