  1. Hi mycev0521! Micro and tech writing are easy. You could easily take intro to nursing with them if you want to double up. I made an A in all of those courses, pretty sure I completed micro in one week. I will be in your chem class. That class is the only reason I have not taken path and pharm yet. I need those three. I am a very weak chem student and hoping it doesn't send my GPA for a dive. If I feel there is a problem, I will get my app, drop it, in and take it the following spring so it doesn't effect my ranking. Then I would be in your path and pharm class next summer. Right now I am planning to apply by the end of fall, during chem; take path and pharm in the spring and take next summer off.
  2. Sorry for the delayed response. I get email notifications but then go to all nurses on my computer and cant figure out how to get into the thread. All of my undergrad hours are from UTA and I was a prior psych major. They pulled a psych class into my nursing eval for my UDE. I didn't ask and they didn't say I needed anything different. I have taken med term and nutrition at another school but they didn't need them. Maybe they took it because I already had it. If you haven't taken a upper level course, they only allow those two from the online program. There are other UD classes you can take at UTA but you may have to go to the campus or dot their alternative online class that could have campus tests, etc. I too started back Jan 14 and am burnt out. I've done 15 classes in the last year and a half. It's a lot of work and I'd like to know I'll be able to get in. I'm in my first week of stats, and will be preparing for chem in the fall. Path and Pharm will be in the spring and then hopefully I'll get in and be able to take a break next summer before the program starts.I am not partnered. I have all sciences from UTA, 30+ undergrad hours from UTA.
  3. Okay, I just emailed tankzaki. He just told me to not buy anything yet because he is redoing the class this summer. He said to email him back in July to see if he has changed the book from Timberlake to a new book or new edition. He wil ask know what lab materials we need at that time. Wish I could take you up on it.
  4. Hi! I too will be applying for the Fall 2016 start. I am going to put my application in as soon as this current spring app deadline ends. I have everything done that is needed to apply. I am taking stats this summer, chem in the fall, and path and pharm in the spring. The HESI was easy cheesy! I took it about a year ago because I thought I was going to apply last fall. You can retake college algebra and they will use that grade for math, regardless of the course level. They will use the highest. As far as your upper level elective, it doesn't have to be medical terminology. It can be any 3000-4000 level course, in any subject. The grade does not count in the ranking process. I have a psych class being used for my elective. I don't know much about the course transfer process. I took intro at UTA last semester and I'm taking path and pharm in the spring.
  5. So bummed I couldn't get into a chem class this summer. I had to pull back my application. I'll be taking it in the fall and path and pharm in the spring. I'll apply late dec or early jan for the fall 2016 start.
  6. How much do you want for yours? I know I tried this class last fall and actually used up some of the foils, chromotography paper, etc.
  7. I actually puled back my app, so I'll be applying for the Fall 2016 start. I could not get them chem class I needed this summer so I am going to retake A&P 1 since I made a B in it and take stats. I'll take Chem in the Fall, then apply, then path and pharm in the spring/summer before it starts.
  8. I just applied and I was curious to see if you could work ahead in the online classes. Basically, if a class is 5 weeks, can you do all the work in week 1? I appreciate any feedback from anyone that has done this.
  9. Hey! I also just applied. I'm planning on taking chem and stats this summer at my local community college and path and pharm in the fall. I have a 3.37 overall and a 3.67 science gpa. 3 sciences are from uta. I have 54 undergrad hours from uta, and had a cumulative hesi of 332. I'm 32 and hoping for good news. I started at UTA right out of high school 14 years ago but never could declare a major, so I left before doing too much damage to my GPA. Let me know if you hear anything. I heard we will hear back the end of september.
  10. I thought about that but I had to do online classes because I have two small children and no childcare. They go to kindergarten the fall I start clinicals, as long as I get in:-). I actually do way better with online classes. I find the lack of peers decreases the amount of distractions. The professor that teaches 1308 was actually my 1302 professor 10 years ago and I used her as a tutor as well. I planned to do the same with this class if need be because she could tutor once my husband was home from work.
  11. I actually just dropped the class until next summer. I am going to try and squeeze in all my science so I can apply in January. I can so stats next summer before the fall upper level BSN courses start. It wasn't required to apply so I figured I would take what was. Math is super hard for me. I have heard stats is easier that algebra. I only got through college algebra with lots of tutoring. I did take it 10 years ago. My attitude about all of it is a little different now. Good luck and let us know.
  12. Is anyone else enrolled in this class?
