  1. Doing Away with LPN?

    I have a question, I was told from a few people that they are going to be doing away with the LPN and will just have RN's and CNA's? I finished my CNA and was looking into the next step either LPN or RN but don't want to invest 11 months in a course if they are no longer going to take LPN's. I live near Orlando Florida. Has anyone ever heard this?

    Hi! I received a scholarship to take a CNA/HHA course and loved it. I just graduated from that course and am looking to further my education. My ultimate goal is to work in a children's hospital such as Arnold Palmer. I don't have my AA yet but have some of the gen ed classes done. I have heard that you have to have your AA in order to be in an RN program but not sure if that's correct. Would it be smart to go for LPN while taking college classes for my AA and THEN RN or can I go right into RN nursing school with out my AA or while working on my AA?
