Yea UVA doesn't offer the shift differential until after orientation either. But what is the shift differential there at vidant? How is it working in such a large hospital I mean UVA is no small hospital 400 and some odd beds but vidant is like 900 I have seen it in person it's huge. Also do you know anything about Carolina east medical center?
I am a rising senior nursing student. I am a Virginia native and I have some family in the new Bern area. I am looking to apply here in my home state at UVA medical center and vcu medical center but I plan to apply in that area as well specifically vidant medical center and Carolina east medical center. I was just wondering if anyone worked at either of these places and could give me some inside information. First off it is a beautiful area and love the proximity to the coast and the cost of living there is cheaper than Charlottesville and Richmond but I was wondering how much difference there is in pay. UVA offers $21/hr and $ 3 shift differential. I would just like to compare that to the east nc area pay. Thanks for any information
