  1. I do aprreciate your inout. I didn't know about that deaconess college. I'm going to check it out today. I believe I'm going to teach for the year and take some refresher courses in the mean time and try again next year. Thanks for the advice though.
  2. Hi, I'm new this site and thought that maybe the members here can help me. I'm trying to make a very critical decision. I currently hold a B.S. degree in biology and i've currently applied to 2 accelerated nursing programs. The deadline for both schools were in late may and the decision should have been made by July 1st the latest. While waiting, I was informed that the schools recieved more funding and the decision will take longer, around July 28th. As an alternative plan to nursing I applied for teaching position. I was hired as a 6th grade science teacher and am expected start orientation July 28! :rotfl: Though I want to start the nursing program, I'm not as financially prepared for the program as I would like, especially considering that the accelerated programs do not encourage you to work. Teaching would give me the avenue to save for school. However, I wouldn't want to miss an opportunity if I'm accepted, considering that nursing school is very competitive. I have already taken all me pre-requsites, so should I decide to teach, all I would have to do is write the essays and apply for school. I would definitely appreciate your input. Thanx.
