  1. I am looking for some insight on this class. So far I have been VERY frustrated with how the content is organized. When I click on a section to read there are smaller sections and even those break down into smaller sections. I was a good student all through my undergraduate degree and I work well on my own. However, I am very annoyed that this course is structured and presented this way. I did do the boot camp which I found helpful. I did pass the pre assessment but not by much the second time. How similar is that to the objective assessment? (I am not looking for specific answers) just a generalized answer. I don't want to keep going into too much depth. Any tips? I am ready to be done with this course. I zoomed through my other ones with ease. Even my mentor said that "almost everyone has a really hard time with this course", which I don't appreciate. I get so frustrated knowing that I will probably never utilize how to break down an amino acid molecule by molecule again (haha). I do enjoy learning but chemistry is not my favorite thing to do. Thank you!!
  2. Hello! I'm a new RN in an ICU. I deal mostly with MI, codes, post cath procedures etc. It's very fast paced environment which I enjoyed when I teched on the floor (was a tech during nursing school on the unit) but now not so much. I don't feel like I enjoy critical care. I would rather not code someone , of course I do but I prefer not to. I don't care for having 7 IVs hanging, pressies going, titrating, etc. We also go to codes and RR on our floor and another floor, we also have a STAT RN phone where other nurses can call us if they have questions. I absolutely love my co workers though and everyone keeps telling me to stick it out longer at least to 6 months to a year. The problem is I count my days off and when I know I have to go back to work I get really bad anxiety day before. I am so worried about titrating a drip too low or missing something that could cost the pt his/her life. I didn't apply anywhere else because I accepted the position a whole semester before I graduated. In my head there was no where else I'd rather be but now I'm stuck. Is this really just new nurse jitters? Or, is it maybe they critical care isn't for me? I want to go to the OR just don't know how to tell my supervisor. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  3. I received my acceptance letter for the ASN program at the Fort Wayne campus yesterday!
  4. Thank you! I hope you don't have to wait much longer! 😜
  5. I received my letter today! I am accepted to the ASN program at the Fort Wayne Campus!! I wasn't expecting it to come yet so it was a great surprise! Eeek I'm so excited. 😀
  6. Oh my gosh my heart would have sank! Too bad it wasn't an acceptance letter though. 😜 good luck!
  7. Have anyone noticed any changes yet on CC? 😉
  8. Mine says the same thing. I am not aware if that's what mine said before or after I applied but I think that your advisor will change it after meeting with them. With that, I doubt they are done sorting through all the applications. I think it's too soon to know but that is just my personal opinion. The suspense is driving me crazy though. I think about it everyday! When someone gets a letter they should let everyone know on here!
  9. I haven't checked my mailbox yet but I'm expecting to go in full creeper mode by the end of next week. 😂
  10. Same here.. I haven't read about anyone who applied to my campus yet and I'm on the FB page as well. Good luck to you!
  11. I'm applying to Ivy Tech Fort Wayne for both the PN & ASN programs. I think the third week of September I'll start stalking my mailman. 😜
  12. I totally meant to reply to you Hyrule812 with Good Luck not to myself. Haha
