  1. Terri - congrats to you as well! I think you made a great decision. The pay is clearly better & hours will fit in with your personal responsibilities! Job A (the peds clinic) pays $18 for new grads, Job B (hospital) is $20, so it really doesn't help me! And I'm single with no children, so I could go either way!! CrunchRN - I'm in Nebraska
  2. Thanks, every little bit helps! This is a very hard decision for me. Best of luck to you as well!!
  3. I am a new grad & have recently been offered 2 amazing position & CANNOT decide between the two... Job A: is at a local pediatric clinic, well respected in the community, friendly, great environment, excellent hours (days 8-5), would orient for 4-6weeks give or take & could start immediately into a needed full time position; they have 4 locations around town and are expanding Job B: is on the medical-surgical unit of a local magnet hospital, well respected, pay is just slightly more, it is a nights position (6p-6a), I interned for 4 weeks here at the end of my schooling & really enjoyed it, orientation would be 8 mos but would include both "classroom" & "on the floor" training Background about me: other than spending the last 4 years in nursing school, i've spent the past 9 years in childcare & have been extremely successful in that field & other than nurse it is all i know.. Here in lies the dilemma -- do I take the hospital job because it would offer more of a challenge, good experience, etc... or do I take the clinic job knowing that it combines my two best areas of expertise nursing & kids? HELP!!!!!!
