I am currently a Registered Nurse with my BSN and will be beginning a new job as a school nurse this fall. I would eventually like to go back and get my certification in School Nursing. Does anyone have any thoughts/suggestions on this?

According to the State of Illinois, schools have the opportunity for free Epi pens as long as they have a doctors order on file for this emergent medication. I am new to school nursing and was curious how I would go about getting an order...

Hi Everyone! I was just hired for the 2014-15 school year as the new school nurse of an 1100 student high school. I am looking for information regarding what students are required to have on file regarding their school health records (i.e. immunizations, etc) Is there a website I can refer to in my state (IL) with the current requirements that I can become familiar with before the start of the new school year?
