  1. Hi everyone! I I know this is an old post but I've been hired on the SICU at Columbia and already handed in my resignation to my current job. Now Columbia just told me I have to take this dreaded pharmacology exam! And have to pass it in two tries or my job offer will be rescinded! I went over the study guide ( the RN.com one) and expanded the bullet points but all said and done my study guide ended up 30 pages long!! I would greatly appreciate any tips and/or review guides on this test I don't want to over study and get myself crazy over something that should be relatively simple! Any suggestions would be lovely!! Thanks!!!
  2. Hi Everyone! I was hoping some of you could help me brainstorm a bit. Recently my floor has gotten scores back and we are not doing so good in the "patient-nurse communication" department. My manager would like me to formulate a project regarding this topic and think of an initiative to improve communication with patients and then study it to ensure that it is working. We already have in place bedside handover and we are mandated to spend time with each one of our patients to learn a little bit more about them, I am not sure what else there is to do. I would love all and any suggestions! thanks !
  3. PVT worked for me! took the NCLEX RN on July 2nd, was sure I had failed, had 75 ?s and got the good pop up. found out on Friday the 4th that I had passed! still nothing on the BON website for NYS
  4. Thank you so much! I needed some encouragement! What was your study plan like? how long did you study? how did you study? and did you pass?! Sorry for all the questions I just don't even know where to start
  5. Thank you! Do you think I should move my test date? right now its july 2nd but I might move it to july 16th...do you think a full month of studying is enough?
  6. Hi everyone! I a pretty new to this but I have a couple questions. I just scheduled my test date for July 2nd. I am currently enrolled in Kaplan for the middle of June and until then I am reviewing the content they offer online and in their course book. So far my scores are as follows: Diagnostic Kaplan exam- 64.4% QT 1: 55% QT 2: 63% QT 3: 57% I think my biggest problem is content so I was thinking about investing the 300 dollars to take hurst online. But I am not sure I need both Kaplan and hurst. What do you think? Should I keep my test date on july 2nd or move it back? I graduated in the top 1/3 of my class in may 2014 if that helps for anything, but these Kaplan scores are scaring me!! Please, any advice or suggestions would really help!!!
