Yeah it's def at the bookstore. I was just getting my things together and read on the checklist that we have to have our uniforms in by the 11th of Aug. so I was wondering how long it's even supposed to take to get them in. I'm getting them tomorrow as well. Thanks :) see you guys tomorrow!

it's page 4. Go into the certified background site, go under my documents, click background check, then click results, download it and open it. Once it's opened go to page 4 and you'll see it there!

It's your placement tests you took when starting nova. You can find it in your SIS on mynova! Log in then click SIS then go to Degree Progress/Graduation, click on My Academic Requirements, and finally click View Report as PDF. wait a bit till it opens in a new window then scroll down and it'll say test scores. It'll say COMPASS reading or writing. Personally I couldn't find the math score so all I put was the math class I was placed into but the reading and writing score was there. Maybe you'll have the math score on your report! If not we can just bring it up Tuesday! :)

Has anyone placed an order for the nurse kit yet? I was wondering if anyone knows if they require us to buy the items from that company. As I mentioned before I already own a stethoscope and I don't want to buy another one yet again and I was looking at uniform city's website and saw they have all the items that the kit asks for for a decent price so does anyone think they will be strict about where we purchase this from?

Quick question! I was looking at the Important Deadline Dates @ A-Glance document that was recently sent to us and I was looking at the 7/18 due date and saw it said "order background check, drug screening, and immunization tracker..." is the immunization tracker something separate? Or is it just that certified background thing we payed like $120 for that has the place to upload the immunizations as well as other documents? Just to make sure.

I believe you would get the LPN one. I'm not positive however I believe since you're first doing LPN then moving on to RN they want you to get the LPN one. Maybe call the nursing department at MEC prior to making the purchase to find out first.

You are def. NOT one of those students. I am with you there as well. It's ridiculous for them to schedule all this while on summer break. I mean with all these checklist items, campus orientations, and running around to get things done prior to the program they should at least schedule this either right when everyone gets accepted so we can get most of this crap done and enjoy our summer. Sorry to hear about your trip Summer break is honestly supposed to be "our time". But who knows maybe Nurse2be35 will be right, what if they have alternate dates that day...lets hope so

Ahh the woman just won't reply! I emailed her twice now and nothing so I emailed Ms. Brown and she forwarded the email to her and just added her within my convo and just asked if she could help me and I just saw one vaccine being updated to 2014. Yeah I agree it doesn't make sense to upload the same thing multiple times. But thanks in advance for contacting them. Hopefully they answer the question and get that cleared up. :)

I kind of thought that it's probably the regular check-list they gave us to complete...but I'm not so sure. I swear all these announcements and stuff are so confusing. They need to be a bit more clear. Also anyone else get a welcome email from certified background this morning? I went to check my profile and only one vaccine changed to 2014 but everything else is still under 2013...strange.

oh okay gotcha I've had them all done at INOVA actually so I guess I should be alright but I might just call in to make sure or just get titers done as you are and seeing what I need to get vaccinated as well then. I've had the chicken pox vaccine done when I was a baby actually since I'm only 20 and before I lost my shot records I saw I actually got it.

Whoa seriously?! You're a life saver lol because I was so worried since I lost my shot records when I moved and I called my hospital and they said they would charge me by the page if I wanted them...wayyy to much money and I don't want to spend anymore than I need to haha but I think that's all we have to do because I doubt they will give each individual separately.

I believe we must ask for the actual immunization results and scan them into each individual section. However I noticed the immunization and aren't most of them those ones we got when we were younger? For example the chicken pox one, isn't that just a one time vaccine type of thing when you're younger? So do we have to like just do a blood test and show the results about us having the positive antibodies and upload those instead of another vaccine? I'm so lost with this all lol

I'm just mad paranoid that maybe my email won't work because Ms. Brown never replied back to my email when I emailed her about the 2013 issue and now that I emailed this new person I still haven't gotten a response and I don't want to be kicked out of the program for something dumb you know? Lol I think I'm being overly paranoid but there's just so much we have to do in order to get into it and start that it's overwhelming in case you forgot to do something or anything along those lines and get your acceptance revoked. Oh yeah I agree! Penny pinching is super important right now. Thank you so much! $12 for two is still crazy but it's def better than nothing.

Did you email the lady that was sent in the link? I emailed her saying I am registered under 2013 and need to be under 2014 please yesterday and I still haven't gotten a response and I'm still under 2013 cohort :/ so I was wondering if maybe she never got my email and seeing if you got a reply? Did you get the badge from the campus? I still need to buy that and I"m unsure if I want to get it from the cheaper suggestions or the nova one but $20 for one is insane!
