  1. Hello, everyone. I was hoping to get some comments on the COC nursing program. I got accepted for Fall 2014 and so far I have a very good impression about the school and the faculty; however, when I checked their NCLEX pass rates, they do not seem to be that high compared to some other community college programs. I also got accepted to LACC and on the waitlist for PCC and Pierce. I thought that since all of the programs are accredited, then they should all be equally good. I also herd that PCC has a better reputation of all, and I heard a lot of bad things about LACC (their NCLEX pass rate, however, seem to be good). Is there really a difference in the way they prepare you for nursing? If there is anyone who is a past or present student at COC I would greatly appreciate your comments about the program and whether it is worth attending. It is also interesting whether the hospitals would prefer hiring students from one college rather than other?
