  1. Also, i have 2 HESI study books that i used to practice for the entrance exam for sale ($30). I did not write in either book, i ran off copies to use while i practiced. Each book has 3 full practice tests and the answer key at the back to check your progress. If you know anyone who is interested, please message me at [email protected] - for the subject area please list HESI FSCJ or something similar, so i know it's not spam!
  2. I have 2 HESI study books w/ practice exams - I did not write in them, i ran copies off to practice taking the test. Message me at [email protected] if you're interested. On the subject like, list HESI Study Books (so i know it's not spam). Im selling both books for $30.00 - Thanks Danielle (Summer 2015 Applicant/Acceptee)
  3. If you can, take the higher CHM class so you wont have to retake another chem class down the road if you want your BSN or transfer to another school. They did just change the sociology requirement and that stinks, but look at it this way. You will probably need that credit down the road for BSN too if you transfer to another school. So it feels like you've wasted your time, but it will come in good use! Keep positive and good luck! -Danielle
  4. I applied with 210.9
  5. Omggg!!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!
  6. Per Fscj website, the summer semester begins May 6--I wonder if this is true for the Nursing Program as well... Or if the program is on a different schedule. Anyone know any other info about the start dates?
  7. 3 weeks down (and counting)!
  8. Veterans!! What kind of shoes do you guys at/to clinicals? I've heard mixed stories about what is and isn't allowed.
  9. This gives us hope! LOL I hope the same trend follows! Since you started last year around this time, what is your graduation date? Also, does anyone know the tentative start date for classes this Summer semester? Feb 12*by*Phoenix_Fire* I applied at the same time as you all did last year. Our application deadline was February 1st. We received our letters on March 8th just to give you an idea of the waiting time, aka, absolute torture.* Best of luck to all of you! The wait is hell but getting that envelope is worth every moment of agony!
  10. LOL!! í ½í¸í ½í¸ We still have a while to go Jen! Are you taking any classes right now to keep ur mind busy/off the waiting period?
  11. Congrats on your new baby and good luck on your first term Lisa! It's there any info you can share? Maybe, what you know now that you wished you'd known before, etc? Thanks! Feb 2*by*lisamckinnon11 Hello all, I am a current term 1 student. When we applied for spring we got ouour acceptance like 3-4 weeks after deadline. Semesters before have been seeing the same trend. You guys may be able to get your packets soon as well. Good luck and be ready to study hard and stay organized. You all can do it. I just had a baby 2 weeks ago and back in classes already, if I can do it so can anyone that really wants it. Dis I mention I have a 1 almost 2 year old as well.
  12. The official "wait" begins! Good luck to everyone who applied! Speak things into existence!
  13. @HokieJen - I've been YouTubing dosage calculations too!!! I've also watched vids on Foley Catheter insertion, how to ausculate the heart, etc. Its very interesting to me to learn about these types of things and to give me an insight on how they're performed!
  14. Your info is so helpful and informative!!
  15. Thanks for the info sunflower07!! How is the "math test" (dosage/IV calc) test?! I heard if you bomb it they'll give you another try and if you cant pass with 80% you're kicked out. Do the instructors review the calculations with you, or are you out on you're own trying to learn?!
  16. I was reading the previous Summer 14 forum, they got their letters in early March! I hope that's the same with this semester!
  17. I just went to campus to turn in a degree audit, because I didn't send it in with my application a few weeks ago. The receptionist at the front desk told me that I didn't need it. She said the only things you need are: unofficial transcript, HESI score, BLS CPR verification, and the front page of the application. Boy, I hope she knows her stuff, because I don't want to be disqualified!
  18. Since the Summer 2015 semester is "Days Only" - if selected for the program, is anyone planning to quit their job (if you work days)? Or, do you plan on working full time/part time while attending?
  19. Hey Jaturner1994 - since you applied last semester and missed by a couple points, i figured you would know - so I have a question for you: Do you know if the points for nursing school entrance are calculated based off of your HESI score cummlative percentage points + your grades from your prereqs....or, if your points are calculated from the 4 HESI subject scores (math, reading, bio and a&p) + your grades from your prereqs?? Thanks :)
  20. Good Luck Yulia! I used my A&P and Biology books and some old McGraw-Hill online math practice questions to review for HESI - to me though, the A&P/Biology were the easier sections, or maybe I felt that way because they didn't have nearly as many questions as the math and reading sections.
  21. @jaturner - Two points?! Aww man!! Well good luck to you if you're applying for Summer!!! What was your HESI score if you dont mind me asking?
  22. what was your HESI score, if you dont mind me asking?
  23. I got a cumulative score of 82% on the HESI.
