Took my test today 5/29/14 NCLEX PN
If its on hold! It could mean you passed or failed. Lets hope you passed.

Overwhelmed!!!
Not necessarily but i was able to understand everything including the 5 day resource materials. Make sure you do a lot of questions from resources though like the Lacharity PDA book, kaplan qtrainers, nclex 3500, etc....Hurst is good for content but its also important to do lots of questions.

Overwhelmed!!!
Relax! Think positively and be confident that you will pass your next exam. Being sad and depressed will not help you in studying, you will be just distracted and not remember anything. I also took Hurst and the key for me to remembering the topics was reading the book and watching the videos over and over again. Repetition, repetition, repetition is the key. Also ask yourself questions about each topic or ask a friend to ask you questions about each topic. BE CONFIDENT! YOU GOT THIS AND YOU WILL PASS THIS TIME.

Nervous! Did i pass....
It could go either way! Either you passed or you failed. Lets hope you passed. Is your license not yet active in your BON website?
-
Has anyone used ONLY Saunders and passed?
I strongly advise to do kaplan questions and La charity PDA questions. Saunders in my opinion is good for content review.

Have you tried the NCSBN learning ext review? Its only 50$ for 3 weeks

NCLEX Exam shut down at 75 questions. Fail?
You should contact kaplan that you failed and let them reassess you but if you would like to try a different review course I would recommend Hurst or NCSBN.

My trainers were way lower than that and I didnt do the qbanks. Your definitely in the average where you should pass. My scores: https://allnurses.com/nclex-discussion-forum/how-i-pass-926505.html What reviews did you use?

How I PASS the NCLEX EXAM
Yea i understand, i know people that are international students that have failed several times. Unfortunately the exam is more of a critical thinking exam which international student tend to have a hard time taking. Have you done the kaplan questions (qbanks and qtrainers 1-7) ? The lacharity pda book?

How I PASS the NCLEX EXAM
Unfortunately i don't have the videos! Mine already expired. If you can afford it, its definitely beneficial to get it in my opinion. Good luck and study hard

How I PASS the NCLEX EXAM
I would recommend hurst which is a quick, short, need to know content for the nclex and makes you understand the whole concept of diseases. There's no point memorizing content, you just have to understand it. I would focus on doing a lot questions and i mean "A LOT" from priority, whom to see, sata questions, etc.....Read the rationales and understand it. You got this.

How I PASS the NCLEX EXAM
i would recommend 2 month before your exam date. You dont want yourself to get burnt out from all the studying
-
What'd you get on kaplan QBANK?
if you logged in the kaplan website it should be right under the qbank link
-
What'd you get on kaplan QBANK?
You should do the qtrainers 1-7 which is a lot harder than the qbanks. If you get an average in all the trainers with a 60% you should be able to pass the nclex
-
failed nclex pn 5 times!
try hurst or kaplan online

How I PASS the NCLEX EXAM
Hey guys, just wanted to share to you all how i passed my nclex-rn exam. I went up to 265 questions and stayed there for 4 1/2 hours. I thought i really failed and i just gave up midway of the exam but when i reached the 200 question mark i decided to focus and give another go thinking it would reach the 265 mark, which it did. (Because they base the last 60 questions that you answered if you are above passing level) After my exam, i stayed in my car for a while, check my phoned to do the pvt trick and i got the "good pop up". I couldn't believe it so I went home to check on my computer and still got the good pop up. The next day I checked on the BON website and there it was my license is up and active. Anyway, this is how i passed: 1ST MONTH: I just focused on content and no questions. Only read the Saunder Comprehensive review 6th Edition 5 days week and had the weekends off to relax and not stress too much. 2ND MONTH: The first two weeks: I focused on the Hurst content and video (As Aunt Marlene would say, you have to know your content "Without a doubt and without hesitation") On the weekends: I was doing 1000 questions using the NCLEX-RN Question and Answers "Made Incredibly Easy" 6th Edition. This book helped me so much. Strongly advise to get it. The third week: I did 3 Hurst exams and Kaplan trainers 1-7. I did not do the kaplan qbanks. Here are my results: Kaplan Trainer 1 -65 Hurst Exam 1 - 77/125 61% Kaplan Trainer 2 -49 Hurst Exam 2 - 88/125 70% Kaplan Trainer 3 -42 Hurst Exam 3 - 78/125 62% Kaplan Trainer 4 -58 Kaplan Trainer 5 -60 Kaplan Trainer 6 -63 Kaplan Trainer 7 -54 The fourth week: "Week of my exam" Sunday - Read the "35 page Nclex study guide" that goes around here. This helped me memorize the contact, airborne, droplet precautions diseases a lot easier. Monday - Did the "NCLEX 3500" for SATA practice and answered all the LaCharity PDA chapters. Tuesday - Reviewed ekg and lab values. Also Reviewed the Hurst and Kaplan strategies Wednesday - Rest day Thursday - Took my exam. So thats it guys. Focus on whom to see questions, priority questions, your iso-contact precautions, know your lab values and ekg. ALSO PRAY, pray from the the first day you studied till the day you sit in front of that computer. Goodluck to everybody that will be taking the Exam
