Hi there! Paperwork session was a little overwhelming. There is a lot to be done. I suggest going on saddlebacks nursing page and read nursing handbook. There is a good chance you will get in. Especially because smer is approaching and other people will drop out to go to other schools or life gets in the way. If you can get pharm and gero out of the way that is even better. Good luck!

Moonmayden if u are an alternate #4 then count yourself in! A lot of people will decline and then during summer people will drop. I originally declined due to pregnancy. I found out that I was pregnant on a Monday and I got my letter the next Wednesday so I had to decline. I'm going to say congrats to you because I know for a fact you'll get in!

My books came today. Any books with practice NCLEX questions is fine. I found a few for cheap on Amazon. NCLEX-RN drug guide, Saunders 2014-2015 Strategies for test success, etc. I hope you get into the program and crossing my fingers for you all. Already checked the mailbox today and nothing... Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

I spoke with ------------- in the nursing department and she sends the letters out. She is super nice and she told me to watch for my letter the last week of May.

I was just talking to a friend that went through saddleback and she recommended buying some NCLEX study books to prepare myself for the test questions. I'm going online today to buy some. I might as well get a head start while I wait. Just wanted to throw it out there to everyone so you can be better prepared;)

Oh my goodness! I will keep you in my prayers for u to get into saddleback! My kids are 15,11,7, and 9 weeks. It would be nice to have a fellow mommy to study with! Keep me posted. Good luck!

I am excited to start but nervous. Having a newborn won't be easy along with my 3 other kids! Yes I am crazy!!! Keeping my fingers crossed for u all!

Did they call you or did they email you to let you know you got in! I want this so bad and now I just found out I'm pregnant with my fourth! This is the way my universe works! Lol

I believe it's 4 or 5 years? Call the nursing department and they will tell you. They are really helpful!

Hi all! I just spoke with the nursing department and they have gone through the alternates for fall 2014 and through the first pool with 3 left! I am in the second pool so I am praying I get in! Good luck to those who are waiting to hear!

I got my letter yesterday and I am in the 2nd pool. I am bummed but there is still a chance! A friend that is in the program did say that a few people in her class were from the 1st and 2nd pool. I am anxious and now it will be the waiting game until August. I wonder when they will assign us our numbers? If you are an alternate, count yourself in! Congrats to all!
