So I'm having trouble finding out what I can and can not do as a nursing student in clinicals, especially when nothing is structured very well. This is my first semester of clincals and just wondering what everyone has been able to do. So far I've been able to do vital signs, showers, make beds and observe. And as a student, what should I prioritize? Side note, no one in my family or my close friends are nurses, so that's why I'm asking.

Ok so almost everyone is in the same boat. And I was sweating bullets over here from Texas. So any news about parking decals, IDs and is anyone still looking for a place to live or even looking for a roommate? I know I'm pushing it a bit on the moving, but didn't know it was going to be this stressful.

i might do something part time, but we'll see.

And also anyone else have an incomplete on there fingerprinting process under "eligible for placement?" I really hope I'm not the only one.

2 more days until the deadline and I just sent my prints in today. I'm really hoping it gets processed in time. And I think for now, it's just the background check. Hopefully we hear something from FAU soon.

@byesuah I ordered it Monday and I think was confirmed Tuesday. So hopefully by Friday or Saturday I can get the package and send it in asap. It's so stressful over some fingerprints. -_-

I'm still waiting for my fingerprinting packet to arrive, I really hope I can get it sent in on time >_

@Byesuah Sorry for the late reply. I just got that notarized and the person that did it crossed out Florida and put Texas down and also wrote down the county I was in.

@byesuah So you should go get your second TB test done Thursday or later. Anyone still having trouble with the fingerprinting process? Being out of state sucks -_-

@Byesuah I'm hoping they send out a code for the fingerprinting out soon. I think that's the only thing that I need or have no idea to do.

Has anyone thought about making a closed Facebook page? Or should we do that closer to the start date?

That's not good for me on the fingerprinting if it's taking that long. Since I'm out of state, they're making a code for me, but haven't heard back yet.

@Byesuah Thanks for the advice. And I have no info in the fingerprinting situation yet. I was going to wait a few more days before I get started since it looks like nothing is updated yet. Hopefully by then, they'll send out another email verifying and confirming a few of our concerns.

So does anyone have any idea on where to start looking for housing at? Or campus approved housing? Kind of out of state so wanted to get a jump start on it asap. And any updates on the background check yet?

So I was able to reach someone and was told to go by the email. I will email or can someone else email Dr. France to verify the information. Thanks again. Less than 2 months.

Anyone have a number that I can call? I tried calling earlier today, but no one picked up, so I left a message. I really would like to verify orientation date, start date and anything that may be relevant as soon as possible.

I thought orientation was also this coming Saturday? I shall call on Monday to verify. Need to know asap if I need to book a flight or not. And congrats to everyone again.

Did anyone else get an email stating that we had to accepted into the the school first before getting accepted into the nursing program? I'm pretty sure I got my acceptance into the undergrad school part. Maybe it was just a mass email.

As we prepare for our potential future, worrying about travel arrangements, apartment hunting and even potential roommates. Why not listen to some music. Enjoy =)

Any suggestions to make time go by faster? Meme wars, song of the day, etc?
