Haha, I love it! It is a lot of work but it is manageable. I wouldn't suggest working any more than 1 or 2 days a week. There is a lot of reading that you have to do. We have at least one exam every week. Record the lectures, that has helped me.

It looks like Charlotte is 24, days Lee is 48 and night Lee is 50. You can see that when you look up the schedule in the portal.

Go to your portal and click on look up class and then go to nursing. You will see the classes you will have to sign up for.

They accepted 38 at Collier. You will be split up for Fundies Practicum, Clinicals and Health Assessment Lab. The schedule is up already so you can check it out online.

The emails about cancelling the orientation are the only emails I got since the one from our fundamentals professor. I am very disappointed too. See you in class on Thursday. Let me know if you find out anything else tomorrow from the nursing office.

I got two emails about it. It says that due to a scheduling conflict with mandatory college-wide professional development meetings for faculty and staff, the collier new student orientation is cancelled. It also says to attend your class as scheduled on Thursday.

I just sent you a friend request. I would love any information since our orientation has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled. What campus will you be attending?

I'm really upset about it too. They waited till the last minute to have it and now there is no more time to reschedule it.

The uniform place sells them but they have different brands available so I would wait and ask your professors.

You will definitely get in with 94 points. I got into Collier with 95 points for the fall. I don't think there is any need for you to retake the HESI but it's up to you. The application fee is $15. The $5 transcript fee is waived if you tell them you need it for the nursing program application. Good Luck!

Tha's right Kathe, we only had to get embroidered the polo, the white top and the lab coat. What color scrubs did you get? Did they tell you about how long it will take for the embroidery because I'm still waiting and it's been two weeks.

I just ordered mine, I can't wait to get them. Why six? Did you get the drug guide as well? I'm going to wait on that to see what the professor recommends.

I'm not sure about Lee and Charlotte, but at Collier it said in our acceptance packet that we wear scrubs for the lab classes. Btw, those don't get embroidered. The polo shirts we use when we go pick up client assignments( that's what it said in our letter) I went to the campus to speak to one of the professors because I had the same question about the color choices. I was told that as long as it's a solid color and nothing to crazy like hot pink then it's ok.

Aaww, we won't be doing our clinicals together, I'm doing mine at north collier hospital (NCO). It's closer to where I live so that's why I picked that. Thanks for the info on the books, I'll look into amazon too. Btw, did you get your CPR card in the mail? I didn't get mine yet and I just wanted to make sure it didn't get lost, lol.

I got purple. They have many cute colors and styles. Some fit better than others. I was there for 1 hour trying on stuff. I didn't get my books yet. How much did they all end up costing? Did you get them online or from the Collier bookstore? I signed up for my classes the day they changed our major,lol. I was so excited! Btw, what hospital are you doing your clinicals at?

No, they send it to get embroidered. Only three items get embroidered, the lab coat, the polo shirt and the white top for the hospital clinical. The scrubs for on campus labs don't get embroidered and they have to be a solid color, no patterns or prints on it. You can purchase those and take them home with you that day. They will call you when the rest come back from embroidery. They still haven't called me yet and I was there two weeks ago. I guess it takes them a little while.

Hi Kathe, Yes, the lady was very nice. There is a fitting room and you are able to try everything on. The sizes were not always accurate. I had to go with different sizes for my hospital scrubs as opposed to the lab scrubs. Just tell the lady you are from the program and she will show you everything you need. Have fun! It was awesome trying on scrubs for the first time.

The only approved vendors are Hamilton Uniforms and Medical Xpress. I went to Hamilton Uniforms at 12719 McGregor Blvd. in Ft. Myers. I don't remember how much everything was individually but I spent about $140. I got the hospital scrubs, the scrubs for the lab, the lab coat and a polo shirt. We get 25% OFF for being students. They had shoes there but I didn't really like them so I got mine from sketchers.

You should be able to see that dates and times already. Just go to your portal and click on look up classes to add and then nursing. All the classes for each campus are listed there already.

I went to get my uniform. Some of the things I could take home with me that day, but some had to be sent out to get embroidered with the logo. They will call when it's done.
