Thank you all for the great posts here. One of the weirdest exam I have taken so far. So many policy questions, conflict questions, research questions. I felt like it was equally divided in three portions, the way ANCC mentioned on the website. Preparation - Online Fitzgerald course (not the audio cds), family prepnp.com - 10 bundles with 1000 questions, 2 ANCC practice tests. I resigned from my RN job and prepared for 5-6 weeks on and off, 5-7 hours reading a day excluding weekends. I had 3-7 similar questions from my preparation. After first 50 questions, if there was an option to walked out of exam room, I had chose that option. When I left the exam room, I was pretty sure I am not gonna make it. Thank god....... I think when you felt that you fail, thats where you did good. Seriously, the exam is not easy. Prepare well and dont be overconfident. I am open for any questions. Thanks.

Hello skv38866, You are so helpful and thank you for your detailed information. Did you take any break or went through 200 questions straight? How was your time management for exam? Did you have time left when you finished? How many question did you mark and came back later? Please let me know. Thanks.

I have already applied for TX APRN license. Few things completed like application pt 1, pt 2, unofficial transcript. TX BON will receive my official transcript this week. Do I need my board certification for getting license? What is the time frame generally? I received my RN license in 3-4 weeks altogether which was not at all bad. Thanks.

Thanks for your information. Its very helpful. I am taking my PMHNP ANCC exam in two months. I will not be able to attend live Fitzgerald course. Do you recommend audio CD or online course for Fitzgerald? Please let me know because I don't know which one to order and which one is good? Thanks.

Hello guys, I am graduating in May with my FPMHNP (psych NP). I have two job offers and I am planning to accept one of them. Eventually, I am planning to move out of state but that state requires certification while NY doesn't. I have few questions. 1. Should I accept the job here and start working as NP and continue to prepare for my boards? 2. Should I move to out of state, and start preparing for boards? 3. If I continue in NY, what should I do once I have certification? Should I start looking for a job out of state and once I get a job, I transfer my license and resign from the job?
