  1. Violent crimes holds a big barrier to some employment; especially in Healthcare. He will probably
  2. I am both, one has expired last year though (My LPN). Its just telling my story... like a timeline, LOL
  3. Have y'all heard about the fake degree scandal in Florida? Over 7,600 degrees handed out for a cash price..?
  4. Yes school is about money, but majority of Schools will not accept if it’s too new, theft charges might have to wait 5-7 years. They have guidelines on what they will accept and not and the time frame.. I’ve seen this too often
  5. What state are you in? Get a lawyer you will need a good lawyer too.
  6. I doubt it, the conviction is to new. Schools are very now strict with even timelines for charges, if they do accept it.
  7. 32 sounds about right, 8 is pretty low. Is 8 just for one hospital? or The entire Cohort (Which includes all the Hospitals in that area from HCA).
  8. I am currently in StaRN and have been on my own for a few months now. The StaRN program is Great! The job is tough, but what job isn't. I'm grateful I was accepted and gained invaluable experience. I however did decide to go PRN and now looking into doing Case management. I'm an introvert and love computers and technology. I love the challenges the hospital has brought, but ever since Covid (they say), I feel my area is not specialized and is a general Med-Surg/Tele floor. I love the staff though, they are wonderful! And I learned so much. I would always stay working PRN.
  9. I thought NS and blood was compatible, and only fluid compatible with blood transfusion?
  10. Oh Okay. Yes you are right. OP was asking suspicious questions that can raise red flags! I just thought he was inquiring about if they were monitoring the test during the initial and random tests performed. It is good to keep clean in this profession or it can cost you a lot.
  11. PPL are quick to judge! just answer the questions! Nobody came for a lecture on suspicious, anyways! to OP usually it is not monitored, only in court cases are monitored drug testing is recommended or a very high-end-government-security job! You should be fine. Random drug test can occur so keep clean!!!
  12. All the community college goes by that list, i called only one community college and she told me to try universities or BSN programs but some of them had some same stipulations.

  14. That's what I thought but I called one of the community colleges and they told me, since it's still illegal by federal it still counts. I will post the link.
  15. Hello all, I though It would be better posting in the Colorado forum to get more views from people who actually have applied or already in school. Here is my dilemma, I am from Atlanta, GA. I have all my pre-req completed with a 3.8 gpa average, I have all A's in my science classes and one B in English. However, My fiance wants to move to Colorado, but when I look up the schools they are stating that you have to wait 7 years to apply if you have a possession charge. I have one for Marijuana, it is a misdemeanor. But that's the only thing I have on my record. I am so stuck and don't know what to do. I really want to go with him, but I am thinking of just staying here. I will have to wait an extra two years to even apply. The lady told me to try universities or Bsn programs but I think they follow the same stipulations. Is there any out of state school closer to Denver that might be worth the commute?
  16. Congrats guys!! I did miss the entrance exam by 6 points. I made a 109 and it was my first time taking it, so i am out next year. Goodluck to you guys, and keep us updated!
  17. Did you take some of your classes from CTC? Or from another college, I also heard CTC students get first priority. That also can be a plus for you.
  18. I take mines tomorrow, I'm so nervous!
  19. https://allnurses.com/online-nursing-schools/columbus-technical-college-935174.html Check out the link above, many of them did not have a 4.0 so please do not be discouraged. I highly believe people are accepted if they receive a 4.0. But other stuff matter too, like compass scores, nln scores and class retakes. You see she said most people but not all have 4.0. What is your gpa and your test scores for compass and nln, I believe there still is a fighting chance. I take my NLN Monday and I am so nervous, but lets keep the faith. I also knew of a girl who got accepted and she had a C in a course and still had to take one over that she failed, she actually told me she didnt even think she would get in, her NLN was 121 and im sure her gpa was no more then a 3.4 or 3.5. Keep your head up and keep us updated!!
  20. Well If you look at the applicants that was on the forum that started this year gpa ranged from 3.2-4.0. I also spoke with a lady who got in with c's that is now attending. I think its more to it then that, but we will see!
  21. BUMP!!! Application Deadline coming soon!!
  22. I got an A in micro lab and lecture. I am taking Algebra now, but had to get transfered from an on campus class to online due to me having to leave columbus for this semester only! I am hoping for an A, it is a challenging class though! LOL. Good Luck!
  23. We have the same GPA! I have all A's except English too! lol. I am taking math, which is my last class and I am hoping for a an A as well! But if I get a B it still should be around a 3.7. I believe 70 students are accepted but only 50 seats was filled this spring. I take the NLN on the 21st, wish me luck! I am also hoping for a 115 or above! Good luck you all and keep us updated!!
  24. Ill be taking mines on Sept. 21. Do you have the NLN study guide? I have been studying it since summer classes ended, I am quite nervous as well. I hear different things concerning the test, some had more physics, others had more chemistry and other anatomy. I heard the math part is more abut decimals, fractions, ratios and percentage.
  25. Hey, Bumblebee! Im also nervous as well, I just went to take my compass and scored an 91 in reading and 87 in writing. I Take the NLN for the first time on the 21st of September. I am so hoping I get in! How are you doing so far?
