HELP! Failed NCLEX before, out of school for 7 years, wanting to try again
Hi, So, from your last exams experiences did you stick to the same studying routine or did you use different methods? I would say, start slow and start reviewing each section like Cardio, Respiratory, Urinary etc before you even attempt to test again or start practicing Nclex questions. To practice NCLEX questions you need to remember how things function and works. I would say make a schedule and choose to do different sections of the body every 2-3 weeks. If you have your old Med Surg books review the content. Once satisfied that you are familiar with things start practicing your NCLEX questions. Just because you are bad test taker doesn't mean you will be a bad nurse. Obviously, you made it through nursing school. So, I would say go for your dream. Take it one step at a time. In the meantime to get your foot in the door, work as a CNA at a hospital... They may choose to hire you once you pass your NCLEX. Working in the hospital gives you immense amount of experiences. I reviewed Saunders and used my Med Surg book to familiarize myself with the content. Good Luck to you!!! If you need any help, i'd be happy to help :)

Nclex on 5/12/14
Whatever question was asked, I read the answers provided and say true or false. I had done Kaplans SATA questions and Saunders CD SATA questions.. I felt like Nclex questions were more similar to Saunders style. Kaplan was much harder.

Two weeks left...need urgent help!!!
Su Jas, The more you worry it's going to effect you on the day of your test. When you read rationales, look for why you got the answers wrong. For me, I usually read it too fast or didn't understand what the question is asking. Go ahead and do Q-Trainer 7 and then remaining days focus on revising lab values. If you have any questions on the trainers, let me know. I can try to help. Anyways, keeping you in prayers. You can do this! :)

Nclex on 5/12/14
Kaplan was definitely much harder than the Nclex. But, I felt like during this test in addition to critical thinking you had to know your content very well to answer questions. Especially because I got a lot of SATA and you needed you know the topic well to answer it.

Nclex on 5/12/14
It seemed so surreal. Questions being asked were all over the place. I was prepared to go in and take more than 75 but luckily, it stopped at 75. The only way I got thru this experience is because of prayers from people.
