Clinical Nurse Educator's Job description
Thank you JBudd for your reply, for all the research that you did and for praying for our safety. Thank you for the helpful information. I did a lot of research on this topic and I found as you did that the job description of the clinical nurse educator is very broad. in addition, I experienced that in my daily practice. I am a pediatric clinical Nurse educator. This is a new job that was introduced in our hospital. I feel also that the clinical nurse educator is taking care of many responsibilities at the same time. Really it is a tough job, although many people didn't recognize that. I would like to thank you another time for your information and I appreciate a lot to continue praying for our safety. I am praying to god to save my country from violence, blood, terrorism and non-human acts. God give us back our dreamland Lebanon. Thank you JBudd. Roro

I need your advice related to websites or books that can be of further help to me as a start. Potential nursing diagnosis
Dear All, we introduced in our hospital the PIE (Problem (which is our nursing diagnosis)/Intervention/Evaluation) charting for documenting our nurses' progress note. It is a multidiscplinary record where all nurses, physicians and other healthcare professionals write their notes. I'd like to seek your advice in two things:1- when we write our Nursing progress note how do we identify the potential Nursing diagnoses? 2- Do we have a special format for documenting our PIE charting. if yes please can you provide me with this format. Thank you in advance for your help and waiting for your kind reply as soon as possible. Roro.

Nurse Educators, Introduce Yourselves!
hello to all nurse educators, I was graduated in 1996 from my BSN degree and I worked directly as a pediatric RN for around 8 years. Then, I started as a pediatric clinical educator as of February 2005. Although, I had a very little experience in that field i enjoyed it a lot. i was graduated in june 2005 as a master in public health with the concentration on health policy and management. In addition, i started as a Nursing instructor as of october 2005. Being a nurse educator is something very interesting and I enjoy it a lot. it is not something easy to become as a nurse educator since we should be very patient with an excellent background knowledge in addition to a very good clinical skills as well as good critical thinking and analytical abilities. it is a challenge for me to be a nurse educator. Sometimes, I felt that it is something rewarding for me especially when I see my students interested about a certain topic and that they are interacting with each other. best regards and good luck to all nurse educators. Roro.

i am interested in having a policy about Intravenous (IV) immunoglobulin administration in pediatrics as well as having preprinted order sheet for IV immunoglobulin administration in pediatrics. so i would like to know if u can share with me ur experience or to help me searching for sites regarding these issues. in addition, i would like to know if pediatric patients who are receiving IV immunoglobulin should be attached to a cardiopulmonary monitor. if yes , what is the rationale behind it? moreover, i would like to know your policies regarding measuring vital signs if the child is receiving IV immunoglobulin for the first time and what would be the policy for measuring vital signs also if the child is receiving subsequent doses of Intravenous immunoglobulin. Thank you in advance. roro.
