  1. Thanks for letting me know what the NCLEX goes by! That is important and good to know.
  2. The other day in class I made a comment about the ABCs of nursing. Someone corrected me saying that it's now the CABs of nursing after the American Heart Association changed it's recommendations for CPR in 2010. I agree that CPR goes by CAB (chest compressions, airway, then breathing) now. But in general nursing practice (like when CPR is not required), priority would go to clearing the airway first, right? So in general nursing practice, is it still the ABCs of nursing?
  3. I'm a BSN nursing student who wants to work in the NICU after I graduate. I have just been offered a new position called a nurse tech in the NICU. This position will be brand new for the hospital as well. It's in a level 3 NICU and I'll be tasked with feedings, diaper changes, weighing, and keeping the unit clean. I really want to make the most of this experience and learn a ton. How can I make a good impression on the other nurses and management? How can I enhance my learning in this opportunity? I'm looking for any advice to help me make the most of this amazing experience. Thanks!
