When I was younger, I never wanted to be a nurse, I wanted to be everything BUT a nurse. I come from a family full of nurses; even the guys in my family are nurses that it was expected that I would "want" to become a nurse too. Instead, I wanted to be a teacher, a fashion designer, an entrepeneur, and even a scientist at one point. But I was just always stuck with some dead end job because I never really cared for school either. It was not until I had a baby I realized it wasn't about me anymore. I had to take action and pursue in a career that will help me provide for my baby, and nursing had all the green lights! My son became my prime motivator.
