  1. I'm writing a paper and wondering if there's a way to do this. I'd like to reference Epocrates Essential (for the meds) and Taber's. Any ideas would be appreciated.:trout:
  2. Do you wear your hair in a ponytail? Sometimes this can cause those short strands.
  3. Forget it. I just saw the link.
  4. What is PERRLA??
  5. HI Nephro, It's a chronic dialysis patient. Thanks
  6. HI Nephro, It's in general. The client has ESRD. Thanks
  7. Hi all! This is a shot in the dark but perhaps somebody on this forum could help me out. I'm in the midst of writing a paper and I'm stuck on a particular question. The question is what is the RN's primary nursing responsibility during the actual dialysis treatment (my first thought was monitoring vs) and also is this nurse using evidence based practice (ebp)? If so, how would I go about finding out a REFERENCE that the rn is using ebp? Any info/guidance would be appreciated! Thanks
  8. Interesting thread. Don't laugh (ok you can) but since I've started school I've had chronic flatus and my GI tract makes gurgling noises all the time! It gets really bad sometimes. I've tried cutting back on lacose and that helps a bit. Maybe I have something wrong with my GI system? Toot toot!
  9. LA rents are not cheap that's for sure. The area surrounding Westwood is very expensive but if you look around you may find a deal. If you don't mind the traffic on the 405 there's areas in the valley that are a bit cheaper. Or you could try Culver City too. Good luck!
  10. Hyperstudent please come back and explain this to us!
  11. Good answers, thank you.....but what about giving the husband power of attorney or advance directives? Would those apply in this case? I also have to use critical thinking in this paper as well........thoughts?
  12. I was hoping I could get some guidance on an assignment I have for next week. Basically the case goes like this....A woman from an asian country has cancer and doesn't speak english very well. The husband makes all her treatment decisions and does not permit the Dr. to tell his wife she has cancer. The Dr. goes with the husband's wishes but the nurse doesn't think it's right to give chemo to the woman because she's unaware she has cancer. So, what to do in this situation?? My instinct tells me to respect the husbands wishes and administer the chemo. One of the questions is what actions should you prepare to initiate in this situation? I have no clue. Any ideas out there? Thanks a bunch!
