  1. I'm a newly licensed RN and am considering taking a job at a very nice skilled nursing facility. My concern is this: my experience as a nursing student in a snf was not what I think the job will actually be like. As students we typically had full care of one or two patients - which was a lot of assistance with adl's and changing sheets. But it seemed like it was mostly the aids caring for the other patients while the RN's did paperwork and med administration. To be clear, I don't mind doing these things for my patients, but I was wondering how much of a typical day is spent on patient care, paperwork, assessments, med administration. It was just difficult to get a good picture of it as a student. Thanks in advance for any insight!!!
