Hi there, I just got into nursing program at Golden West College for this Fall 2014. Each community colleges you just listed has different criteria in choosing applicants for the program. This is how Golden West program selects students: They will provide you a handout contained multiple requirements. Each requirement can be equivalent to a specific amount of points. The more points you can have, the better chance you can be selected for the program. Those requirements are: + GPA: they will use 4 pre nursing classes in order to calculate your GPA for the application. Those classes are: Human Anatomy ( Bio 220 (4 units) this is the code of the class at my school, different schools have different code), Microbiology( bio 210, 5 units) Human Physiology ( bio 225, 4 units) and English Freshman composition ( Eng 100, 3 units). + TEAS test score + Level of former education: Associate or Bachelor degree + Volunteer hours in health care or clinical setting: 100-200 hours to be considered. + Second language with sufficient proof. Depend on how do you manage to take those 4 courses. It took me 2 years into to fulfill those classes. They only collect students' application once a year and divide that amount of applicant into two semesters (either for Spring or Fall ).
