  1. I did the waiver and I didn't do anything but stated it on my application. And I never received information about it being approved. 3 months after applying I received an email for an interview and about 3 weeks after that I was notified I was accepted. I am 2 yr part-time so I don't know if that makes a difference when it comes to timing for the application process.
  2. I was accepted :-) Oh happy day...now comes the loans lol
  3. CONGRATS CeeemmRN!!! I used my doula instructor as a professional reference. I chose her because she really understands what my goals are. I graduated from LaSalle University in 2012...my 3.35 GPA leaves MUCH to be desired. I'm from West Philadelphia... born and raised (you know the rest of the song lol) and I am active in local public health initiatives, like North Philadelphia Community Doulas, Bridging the Gaps, Philly North Philadelphia Breastfeeding Advisory Committee, etc. My full-time job is a home visitation nurse working with pregnant teens (1yr). I have been a birth doula for the West and North Philly area since Dec 2013 and in the last few months I have been a birth assistant during home births in Philly. My life mission is to support Philadelphia communities as they make decisions to empower themselves. I'm a Certified Breastfeeding Counselor and love doing breastfeeding classes. My biggest accomplishment without a doubt is being a mom to a great 1.5yr old :-)
  4. Sending positive energy through the airways!!! :-) Waiting is ALWAYS the most painful part. I'm on week 6...the enrollment person said usually 6-8 weeks for the complete process...so I wait and hope LOL
  5. Hi All! I applied to the CNM part -time program for Fall 2014 four weeks ago and I'm waiting to hear back about an interview... and waiting lol. Good Luck to everyone :-)
