Fall 2014 SSC/UCF Concurrent Program
Only a month's wait is not too bad ! You guys are almost there! I hope the VC/UCF one follows the trend! Does anyone know how they weigh in GPA? Do both SSC and UCF weigh the gpa differently/pre-req. science? The reason I ask is because with UCF I have a 4.0 on the science pre-req. and 3.9 overall on their required pre-reqs. Valencia has Eng. Comp I as a pre-req. for the program and I scored a B (my lowest score on the TEAS V was on grammar, go figure). So...my pre-req GPA would be just a tad bit lower on the Valencia side. My A.A gpa is 3.80.

Fall 2014 VC/UCF Concurrent Program
Did you take Eng. Comp I? That's all I can think of. The UCF application does not ask for this, but in the VC/UCF checklist it does state ENC 1101 is required. It takes a while for them to e-mail you back, but I'm sure everything is fine!

Good! It looks like quite a few people applied to the SSC/UCF concurrent program according to the other thread. I hope you all get in :) just a matter of patience now!

Good luck to you all at SCC ! It doesn't look like a lot of people have/are applying to VC/UCF concurrent, so hopefully I get in!

Fall 2014 VC/UCF Concurrent Program
Hi Ag1121, I plan to take basic chem I and organic chem I & II during the last two semesters of nursing, I think we'll be fine without it for now but it never hurts to start early :) No the two year waiting list does not apply to the concurrent program, only for the generic ASN that Valencia offers. The wait time is going to kill me, lol.

Fall 2014 VC/UCF Concurrent Program
Hey Everyone! I have been browsing the forums and I have not seen any threads about the Fall 2014 Valencia/UCF concurrent program. Did anyone else here apply? I finished my application yesterday. My stats are: Science GPA: 4.0 (substituted CHM for BSC Fundamentals of Biology I) Pre-Req overall: 3.9 (I'm assuming Pre-Req GPA means the 8 classes combined, yes?) A.A December 2013 overall GPA: 3.8 Teas 84.7% (My strongest scores were Science and Math, English and Grammar were both ok/average) I retook the TEAS to get a better English/Reading score, and I scored just a little bit higher this time around. English is my second language so I always read things twice (not a good thing when you're taking a timed test, lol), so I ran out of time on the Reading section. (I did get a good score on the ones that I was able to answer though!) The context cues and word context were very hard too, I spent 3-5 minutes trying to figure out the words. (It ALWAYS came down to two choices!) It's frustrating scoring in the 90's in both Science and Math, but scoring in the low 80's and mid 70's in grammar. I read that a lot of people don't score very high in the Science portion, but make up the score by scoring great in Reading and Grammar. I guess mine is the other way around. Anyone else?
