  1. Hi everyone, I am extremely new to the School Nurse world. I am currently working at an Intermediate School District with a population of about 90-100 students (some come and go). The students here all either cognitively or emotionally impaired. From what I have seen, most nurses have busy days with 50+ students coming in and out of the office. Some days I only get one student and they are what you call a frequent flyer. When I came into this job I did not receive a job descriptions of my expected tasks/duties, but I also didn't even receive an orientation! It has been tough trying to figure out what to do on a daily basis. Does anyone have any suggestions or a list of your day to day job duties? thanks!
