  1. Thank you all for your tips! I am so happy to say that I passed my exam =)
  2. I don't know where to start but I just need to vent out of how horrible I am doing in nursing school! I study every single day, sometimes I go to sleep till 2 am and when its the day on the exam I get super nervous. My nursing friends tell me that I know my stuff which I do but then when it comes to the actual test I don't know what happens . I think I am having trouble answering nclex style question(not use to it). The first test I thought I got a B but end up getting a 73, the second one I thought I passed but no i got 70 =/. I still cant figure out why I'm scoring low but this Tuesday I am talking to my counselor about my grades. I do love nursing , especially clinicals =). All I know is that I'm going to keep trying harder and give it my all. Oh by the way its fundamentals first semester and its 5-7 chapter each week. Also, which book will you recommend me to get to start practicing the nclex style questions? We are using the taylor fundamentals book. For the meanwhile, i need to have a 2nd option... I am thinking of doing the CNA program to get more experience then do the lvn then bridge to rn route!
  3. I'm starting nursing school on january for my associate and my laptop (hp) is not functionally normally. So soon I will need a laptop replacement. I would like to hear some opinions of which laptop will be good for nursing school. Also, when writing your careplans, do you use microsoft templates (microsoft doc, powerpoints etc)? Any information will be appreciated :)thank you for your time .
  4. Hello Everyone, I just want to say thank you all for the encouragement and guidance. I am so excited to let you all know that I passed my teas v last month. Wohoo! Like I said English and Reading are not my favorite topics but this time I study differently. I used the Mcgrawhill teas v for reading and english. I found the English kind of similar to my test and it highly prepared me for the reading section. I think I just needed extra practice and more confident within myself. On the day of the test, I didn't study at all, I just did yoga, listen to music, and relax. I did not want to cram last minute information and stress myself even more. With that being said, I am overly happy that I passed it and excited that I am going to start nursing school.=)
  5. Thank you all for the advice and I purchase 20 min to increase reading comprehension and its helping understand some concepts of how to read a passage of using what when were how and why ( I,m barely in the first 5 pages. So I'm going to keep reading it. Also, today i bought the Ati manual practice A exam and my reading went up to 64.3 and my english went up to 63.3. I've heard the online practice exam are harder and i did found it a little bit hard but this time i wasn't checking the time , didnt feel as pressure than the actual exam and this time i could skip and then come back to the question =). In the school that i took it they didnt let us skip because the instructor supposedly said it might erase our answers. so now i am going to take it another school around mid october. So im going to keep studying!
  6. So yesterday I totally fail the teas!! :/ I was crying yesterday a lot because this was my first time failing on something and nursing is what I really want to do. My score was a 58 and the passing score is 62. I bought the ati manual and study for a month before taking the test. When I took the ati practice test on the book I got a 70 on english and 66 on reading but on my exam I got 45 on reading and english 50 around there. I still can't not explain how I fail when I did good on the practice test maybe because english is my second language. Math my score was 80 and science 61. I can retake the teas again but now I have to score 62 on each section which puts a lot of pressure. What other books are good to study for the teas. I'm just so afraid of failing again. Also do you know any lvn institution or programs la county or orange county. I need to have a plan B. I'm willing to do anything to become a nurse even if I have to start at the bottom.
  7. Yes english is my second language and I could retake it again but now I have to score 62 on each section.
  8. I fail my teas yesterday and I feel terrible because I have never fail anything before. I needed a 62 and I got a 58. I feel that all the sacrfices and all the prerequisites I did wasn't worth at all. When I saw my score I was crying the whole day. I don't know what to do if I should start from the bottom and go to school for lvn and work my way up. Nursing is what I always want to do so I'm willing to do anything for it. Does anyone know any lvn schools in orange county or los angeles county. My score was 80 on math 61 science and english and reading 45 and 51 around there. I still can't explain how I got bad score if I bought the ati manual, study for a month and when I took the practice test. I got a 66 on reading and 70 on english. I can retake it again but I have to score 62 on each section. So does anyone know any other books I can buy and study for it.
  9. I took yesterday my teas and I fail I had to get a 62 and i got a 58. I have never fail on anything before so I felt bad and was crying the whole day yesterday. In science I got 61 and math 80 but english and reading I score low 51 and 45 . English has always been my second language and reading I felt pressure while I was taking the test. I had to guess on some of it because I was running out of time. :/ I study for a month and bought the ati manual and the back of the book I did on the practice got a 66 on reading and 70 on english and I don't how I score low on my exam. Now I have to retake it and score a 62 on each section and am scare to retake and score low . Now I don't know if I should start on the bottom and become an lvn and work my way up at any instution . I also want to retake so what other study formats or book should I buy to get higher score.
