  1. Thanks rwood0905! Yes, I heard back from Seminole and UCF on the same day. I got Seminole's acceptance earlier in the day and UCF's around 5pm. I haven't heard of anyone getting into one and not the other but at the information session at Seminole they made it sound like it was a possibility. They said if you get accepted to one and not the other it is the same as not getting accepted at all. You must be accepted to both colleges to participate in the concurrent program.
  2. Thank you! Today makes 5 weeks from the deadline so hopefully you are right and you do hear something soon. The waiting is agony and can drive you close to crazy. I was checking emails hourly it seemed and stalking these forums like I had nothing else to do. Seminole notified us exactly 4 weeks from their deadline which helped put me out of my misery lol. Hang in there!
  3. I applied to Valencia's and Seminole's Concurrent program in the beginning of April. Got accepted to Seminole and accepted my seat but still curious if I got into Valencia's program. I haven't heard anything from them but the deadline was the 30th of April and they say 6-8 weeks before they notify anyone. Good luck though!!
  4. Hmm well I definitely need to look into that again.
  5. Yeah I called them as well, and because I am currently not registered for any classes at there campus they said that I didn't qualify
  6. No I haven't joined yet but that is great info. I began mine at the Seminole County Health Dept too. What do you need to bring to prove your a SSC nursing student? Any money saved would be great!
  7. I agree getting the immunizations done is a pain. I am trying to find the cheapest route to get them done. I have already done fingerprinting, drug screen etc. Also, I was finishing up my AA courses in the spring semester and got into the program as well. So, it most likely was the pre-req's .
  8. Personally, I am kind of hoping a good pair of white Nikes with good tread will do.
  9. Yes, but when you do click it, it opens up a page that lists the prices. It is $60 for finger printing, $47 for drug screen and $15 for background check.
  10. There is a link attached at the top of the page of your Seminole State requirements page (sent as an attachment w/ your acceptance letter) . If you follow that link it will tell you everything, including cost.
  11. I am unaware of a form for UCF. I think we are supposed to just reply to that email and tell them that we are taking the seat.
  12. Congrats Nyan1229!
  13. Congratulations to all!! I am looking forward to meeting everyone! I still feel like I need to pinch myself cause it almost doesn't seem real. We have been working so hard to get to this point.
  14. Should we be expecting a separate email from UCF and Seminole?
  15. I just got an acceptance email!! Yay!!
  16. From which college? Both?
  17. As far as I know , no. I don't remember hearing anything about that.
  18. I received a call this afternoon from Seminole State's registration department asking me about my plans for Fall of 2014. She went on to tell me that they (Nursing Dept.) are in the process of sending out acceptance, and denial notifications so to be on the look out. I almost passed out when she said her name and then said she was with Seminole State! hahaha. I could finally breath again once I figured out it wasn't the Nursing Dept. about my application. I'm on the edge of my seat...can't wait!!! Good luck to everyone!!!
  19. Well if you submitted everything needed, than I am sure it's a mistake. Try not to stress...I know it's easier said than done.
  20. I would definitely try to contact someone and find out what it is that they think your missing...
  21. Did it actually say that you are missing something? I received an email from UCF on the 14th that I thought was more of a general reminder of the requirements.
  22. Yes, I heard that as well about SSC/UCF. That seems a little soon to me but maybe I'm wrong. I thought it was 6-8 wks not 4-6. I'm not going to complain if it comes sooner though!
  23. That's really good to know! I also applied to the SSC/UCF concurrent program. Now it is just wait and see. I hope I get into at least one.
  24. Hi embt88! That is great that you did so well on the science and math portion. I didn't do so well on the science section. I did much better on the other three sections. I also applied for the Valencia concurrent program for the Fall of 2014. Your Gpa, and TEAS scores look really good. I'm sure you have a great chance at getting accepted. I also substituted Biology for Chemistry but have decided to take it this summer just in case. From what I understand it is really needed in the program. Do you know if the two year waiting list applies to the concurrent program as well?
  25. Oh, I knew you were being encouraging and I apologize if I made it seem otherwise. Yes it is stressful. It has only been three weeks but feels like forever! Thank you for the info about GPA. That is good news!:)
