Kaiser Externship
That's not true. I work in a kaiser outpatient clinic and they hire new grads and veteran nurses.

San Diego City College ADN FALL 2018
It's a reflection of the program. It's pretty vague and disorganized as a whole.

If you can you should just get it out of the way. That way you don't have to scramble to put together your application. Also, being a cna can really help you as a nurse in my opinion. So the longer you have your license for and work as a cna the more prepared you can potentially be. As far as having to actively work I don't know. But you can always work at a registry like one day a week.

Guam's awesome! Was in the navy so I got to visit a few times. But yeah. We'll be good. One of the things that got me through LVN school were the other students around me going through the same thing. All we can do is study and try our best.

San Diego City College ADN FALL 2018
I have a friend who went through the bridge program last year. She actually kept her job as a clinic nurse while in the program. I told her I got in and she didn't give me any crazy warnings She said it was hard and stressful, but... she made it. Nursing school is hard. If you made it through LVN school you would probably be ok. The commute though will probably be killer though. does the program suck? I don't know. It is nursing school though and from experience as someone who has been through nursing school as an lvn, it wasn't awesome. Much of the post from former city student sounded a lot like my LVN program. But, city college is pretty much my only option at this point. Plus, I don't want to wait to get into a different program as I'm already midway through my 30's so I have to get this career moving. AND, the application process for even getting into nursing school is a son-of-a-*****, so I don't want to have to go through that whole process of getting all that stuff together again. Seems like even getting into nursing school (in SD county anyway) is hard enough.... so, as for myself I'll roll with it, Raise the dial on my Bull **** meter and do my best. Good luck to you though on whichever path you choose. Go with your gut feelings.

No. I'm only taking the transition course. I'm going to be working and I have a small child so I'm just gonna take the required class for the spring.

Yes the email said today. I called the nursing counselor ms. Renker and left a message. She called me back and fixed it. After she fixed it on her end I was able to add the add code

RN with medical marijuana card
As far as a drug test goes I have read that one you would get a false positive. So the UDS is a two part process. The first dipstick is an indicator of cannabanoids (I think, or something like that), in your system. You would probably fail that. Next part of the process is GC/MS (or something like that) it looks for the psychoactive part of weed, tetra Cannabinoid. So, I suppose you would ultimately pass a drug test. This is just speculation though. This topic really interests me and I was reading more into it after I saw your post.

RN with medical marijuana card
You mention using topically, I wonder if this would even show up on a drug test? I'm not sure if this is true but I have heard that cannabis oil is different than regular dry herb marijuana, waxes and concentrates. I feel like it wouldn't have any psychoactive effects. Maybe not even show up on drug test??

How were you able to enter the add code?
-
San Diego City College ADN FALL 2018
So if you are in the lvn transition course it's an eight week course with only one session
-
San Diego City College ADN FALL 2018
Ok. Good I'm not going crazy. And then after that it doesn't let you add anything once you click on "major restrictions"
-
San Diego City College ADN FALL 2018
Is anybody else having issues entering this add code.
-
San Diego City College ADN FALL 2018

San Diego City College ADN FALL 2018
Yeah it's weird, in the acceptance email it says we will get an add code after 1.) we send the disclosures back. And 2.) after enrolling in applicable program course. But, you can't enroll in the course without an add code

San Diego City College ADN FALL 2018
I spoke to someone who did the lvn-rn program in 2016 so it may be different now, but she said for spring semester it's just the transition course. Then for fall, clinicals were Tuesday and Wednesday from 7-1, and Theory was Monday and Thursday from 8-12.

San Diego City College ADN FALL 2018
I am wondering what the schedule will be like beyond the transition course. Do clinicals start in the fall? Or would that be too soon?
-
San Diego City College ADN FALL 2018
Me too!!! Early this morning. Like very early. It's like 445am and I just checked and it was there. It wasn't there last night before bed because I was obsessively checking my email

-
San Diego City College ADN FALL 2018
No. I didn't get an email either.â˜¹ï¸ Does anyone know if they contact LVNs after they contact regular RN program. So that means that if I were to be accepted í ¾í´ží ¼í¿»í ¾í´ží ¼í¿»into lvn-rn program I would have to take upcoming class in March?
-
San Diego City College ADN FALL 2018
Not sure if anyone will know the answer to these questions but here goes... do LVNS have to take the nursing student success course or the LVN to RN transition course only? Also, do we take this course in the upcoming spring semester? Or the fall?
-
San Diego City College ADN FALL 2018
They sent you an email that said you didn't get it?
-
San Diego City College ADN FALL 2018
I'm constantly checking my email even though I know it's pretty early for a response. Im applying as an LVN. I have been wondering how many other LVns have applied

transfer from an ADN to BSN
Is it possible to, or has anyone had success, being enrolled in an ADN program at San Diego City Community College, while concurrently trying to get into a the BSN program at San Diego State University? Would this be a good decision anyway, or would it be advisable just to stick with the ADN program and enroll in an RN-BSN program upon graduating the ADN. I desire more to get into a BSN program so I can apply for the Navy nurse corps program, but I also would like to get my nursing education started as soon as possible. As of now I qualify to get into an ADN program but still need one or two more classes to qualify for entry to a BSN at SDSU. Any advice or words of wisdom?
