  1. Actually not so bad. Just a lot of "pre-reading" and other various homework assignments. And I'm not proud to say this, but I probably killed 2 trees with the amount of printing; but it was a necessary evil. So far, so good! t
  2. I got into the program for Jan 2016 (start date) / daytime program/ 16 months. The guy that made this post might have more info for you, but I'll tell you about my personal teas experience. First off, I went and bought the latest version of the ATI Teas V Review book (link at bottom) and studied fairly rigorously for about 1 month. I hit the science and math sections harder than the English and reading sections - i believe the sciences are worth a larger % of the overall test. Take the practice tests in the back of the book and set a timer. Read the sections and take notes and maybe create your own personal tests based on the information in each section (that's how I memorize things). Once I felt somewhat confident, I took the actual ATI practice test online- not sure how much it cost. I received a 74%. I went back and studied the sections I struggled with and then took the actual TEAS exam at ResU 3 days later. I was surprised when my score came back a 92%. I was very happy and owed much of it to the TEAS review book and online test. Having said that, I did receive my Bachelor's degree in Biology and have seen much of that information before (especially the chemistry, physics, and anatomy.) With all this in mind, it is a good idea to use the review book as a core study tool, however you may want to look into your old bio/chem/physics books to supplement what you may not understand. Youtube and Khanacademy work wonders for understanding cell cycles and the steps of mitosis/meiosis. The math is very basic statistics, adding and subtracting (w/o calculator), long division and multiplication, and word problems. There is no calculus and a very small (if any) trigonometry...you know..SOH CAH TOA haha. I really hope this helps, and if you have any questions for me feel free to email me [email protected] (TEAS Review Manual, Version 5.0 (ATI, Study Manual for the Test of Essential Academic Skills(TEAS)): 9781933107981: Medicine & Health Science Books @ Amazon.com) t

  4. HEY. Is anyone attending the new student orientation Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 11:00AM?? If so, I'll see you there!
  5. Great, thanks acamacho. Will any of you guys/girls be looking for apartments or will you be commuting? t.
  6. Where did you guys see that CPR was a requirement ? So far all I have received is an electronic acceptance with a list of med tracker and certified profile things to do. I haven't heard anything about new student orientation either and didn't want to miss out. Thanks everyone t.
  7. What did you do for commute or apartments? I live in NWI and no way is the commute worth it. it would be a total of 3 hours there and back on a good day. Just curious if you rented an apartment or got a place with another student. thanks!
  8. Congrats to everyone attending this upcoming spring! I know I'm excited..however I will be needing to rent an apt and was wondering if anybody was in the same situation or was looking to room up. Contact me any time! ted 25yo male BS Bio
  9. Hey everyone, I will be attending ResU this upcoming January, 2016 as an accelerated nursing student, and I wanted to see how many other ResU students were on this site. I am very excited to start but am still looking for apartments and filling out my FAFSA. If you guys would like to start to get to know each other before the program begins that would be great, of if you have any questions for me, don't hesitate to ask! BTW my name is Ted, Im a 25yo male with a BS in biology. I like to write music and wake/surf/snowboard and lift. I love animals and am dedicated to my future nursing career. Hope we can talk soon ! t.
  10. Ali, I'm actually somewhat off the map..no Facebook :/ and I'm in the same predicament as far as not being able to personal message anyone. My name is Ted Hiemstra. I'll stick my neck out and throw out an email. [email protected]. Get at my anytime, I check my messages frequently.
  11. Me! Ive seen offers on craigslist but some were a bit sketchy. I would like to talk about housing because my commute is too far(not as far as yours!) and I will be needing to rent an apt.
