I think it's crazy to only pick the top 35 scores. Then what was the point of us seeking out someone for our reference letters and studying hard to make As in prerequisite courses??? We could have all just made C's in those course and study our butts off for the Kaplan exam í ½í¸•

I took the Kaplan this morning at Montefiore, I scored a 76%. Hope that's good enough for them.

I chose the last 3 dates as my top 3, the last being my 1st choice

For whatever reason, I still have not received my test invitation in the mail so I called the school. They emailed it to me instead. I have to print it out and send it back to them. I just hope I get my first choice, I know its first come first serve and I'm a week begins with sending out my date í ½í¸«í ½í¸«

Yes, I considered it but I think a night program would work best for me. I will still be working.

I don't think it matter where you've taken your prerequisites. I have been to 4 different schools, I just sent my transcripts to prove I have taken the classes. I believe at WCC, for A&P you have the lecture which is 3 credits and the Lab which is 1 credit. So all together it will be 4 credits.

Hey everyone, i attended the open house yesterday and asked about the grades for the entrance exam. I was told that you want to aim for a 70 or higher to Have the best chance of getting in. So study Hard!!! í ½í¸Š

Oh ok, got it. I've finished all my prerequisites. So basically I just have to ace this exam í ½í¸Ÿ

So they look at scores, then GPA, then whether or not all prerequisites have been completed?

Yea, I looked into westchester CC also but night programs are my only option as well. I'll be attending montefiore's open house on Thursday, I'm so excited. Still waiting on my invitation letter í ½í¸Ÿí ½í¸Ÿ

I've actually been using the HESI study guide for the reading and grammar section. For the science, I've been using quizlet notes and videos from Kahn Academy. Math is my strong point so I've just been reviewing videos and using my TEAS exam study guide.

No, nothing yet, but I sent out my reference letter just last week. Maybe that's why. I hope I get one soon. How have you been studying for the entrance exam? I heard the study guide is of No help

Hi nursinginterest, It never hurts to apply. You might do really well on the entrance exams and that will help better your odds of acceptance.

Hello Guys! Figured I'd start a new thread on Montefiore SON for Spring 2016 since I haven't been able to find one. Anyone out there in the process of Applying to their nursing program? I called them yesterday and was told they will be sending out Exam invitations soon. Where are you in your process??
